Red face

Ok,so all I have to do is load the 93 tune then how do i tune it without a laptop? Do i leave the dsp hooked up in the engine bay then drive down the road rev up the engine and then adj-is it as simple as that,if i see the air fuel to high,i get off the gas and then adj it for more fuel. But knocking worries me too, i suppose you don't go full out till you start asj so the engine doesn't screw up. this is supposed to be a stock car tune,What happens on cars that are modded a bit for more power like a spring mod set at 17 pounds? How close can you get the tune without a laptop? I suppose a reak cheap laptop might be the only way to real set it right. It doesn't really sound that real easy to do,but maybe its not that hard either. I will try and learn as much as posible before trying this-after all a new engine is a lot of dough.

The tool plugs into your obd2 port inside the car.. You then go through the menus on the predator and either add or subtract fuel to get it where you want the afrs. You need to log the car, which can be done on the predator, and see if you have knock. Then post the log up here and we can try to help you out. You cannot tune with a laptop, period. All of the tuning is done via the predator or from one of the diablosport dealers via email tunes or if you have one locally to you, you can get a dyno tune. The tunes on the predator should be ok for a car with little mods. The only thing I would watch for is lean afrs and knock. You need to get a wideband to monitor afrs and then just log the knock via the predator.

Question

ya, i did order a wideband and stock srt-4 mounting pods and a oil pressure guage too. i am putting the wideband right next to the stock turbo boost guage where i can easy see it. I didn't know there was a plug inside the car, where is it? How much HP would a car make with a dsp tune 93 and a stock wga set at 17 boost? There is a local DSP dealer here. What about a dyno tune-how much is that? Would a dyno tune be better than just getting a DSP?

you need the dsp first upload the 93 tune and when you get more mods then get a tune for bigger injectors or turbo upgrades. you can tune the stock turbo just fine off the 93 tune

How much is a dyno tune at a dsp site?-there is one around ,but it is far! Would I still need a dsp if I got a dyno tune? I really need two though 91 gas and 93 gas-How much HP differ is there between 91 and 93 gas?

You need the Dsp to get a tune from either a Cmr or a local Dsp tuner, the handheld allows You to transfer the tune to the car. So yes to get a dsp tune You need to buy the Dsp. Whether You get a dyno tune or just play with the handheld, You have to buy the handheld!!
