Default Dsp Datalogs????

Is there somewere or somebody that can tell me how to read the logs I make from my car? I feel dumb but I have no clue what i'm looking at when I look at them with the data viewer. The only one I know how to really read and know what i'm reading is the knock and that's about it. It would be nice if I knew that way I could make things a little better if needed. Any advice that will help me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just read the stickies on top to see what to log..

I use

Amb temp
ACT
Open Loop FA (AFR)
RPM
MPH
Baro
Pratio
LT knock
ST knock
Adv map to use
actual spark cyl 1

Thats really enough for me to tune the car on the fly if need be.

That will show your boost (if sensors are scaled right) ,Knock,Timing, rpm, and mph. Enough material to get the car running good.

Now If there is a problem you may need other pids to help figure it out

That is pretty much what i'm logging now. Which one is the right one to were I can read the boost in psi? When I watch it with the data viewer I just cant tell whats what I mean it has the numbers going up the side of the chart and accross the bottom but none of them even goes up high enough to read like rpm, boost or anything like that, is there something I can do to were I can get the numbers up high enough to were I can read rpm and then have one to were I can read boost also? How do you copy the log screen like you do and post them to were people can see them in the threads? Do you just outline it and just copy and then paste. I've never done much with computers like that.

You will need to look at your LOG on the dataviewer.

Just take the Adverge map to use and subtract your Baro. That will give you your PSI.

But that is also assuming you have 3 bar sensors. Since the stock ones do not read over 18.5psi. I dont think you do... do you?

No, I got the 3 bar map and tip in now. It was just like you said also, when I got them put in and rescaled my car runs way smoother now.

I'm suppost to be getting it from the wife for christmas this year. I also have a fuel return line now too but I have not installed it yet, it's just sitting around collecting dust. When I get them both installed i'm going to see what this big turbo can really do.

i always feel my boost gauge (mechanical) reads a bit higher then what the map to use-baro gives me.

i prefer to tune based on what my boost gauge reads me. which is hard i know cuz you cant just stare at it all the time.
