Honestly, don't know. This is more of a CMR tuner question, as the Predator and Trinity do not have functionality, for any PCM, to control boost by gear.

I'll be updating this sticky here to include new content I've added (which has been up on the site). Feel free to post up any other questions/concerns you might have that.

Just a $.02 about the USB cable and Power Supply for the Predator.

The USB <> Serial adapter I got was just a generic one. I never even used it, as I had one already for programming my Amateur Radios. If your computer has a serial port, or if you already have the adapter, just get a DB9 to DB9 (male to female) serial cable (straight thru). Don't forget to set the tuner to 115200Kbps. 57600Kbps is what mine was set to stock. Why would I (Or anyone on this forum!) want to run slower?

The power supply is just 12V 1A. Any 12V power supply that can provide at least 1 amp of current will work. Just has to have the right size plug.

I know I had this stuff laying around the house already, but, since the place I bought it from threw it in for free, that's fine, more stuff.

This is a good question. My question is if you can just use this to reflash a stock PCM to a Stage 1?

Example: Car A has a stage 1 pcm and a predator, Car B is bolt-on modified with stage 0. Can you grab the stage 1 rom backup from car A and load it onto car B to make the PCM in car B a stage 1, just for better driveability?

No you can't. The stock PCM(5020242AI-2003;5029415AH-2004; 50290832AE-2005) and S1(4510055AE) have two different calibration ID and the DSP will not flash it. Any tune thats flashed has to be of the same calibration ID and VIN #.

Just added:

What is the difference between ST knock and LT knock?
First off, ST stands for short term and LT stands for long term. Long term knock is a "learned" value based on short term knock. As an example, if your PCM is seeing a consistent count of short term knock at a certain RPM range, it will eventually set the long term knock for that range to reduce timing. This is a protection, or preventative function to keep the engine from sustaining damage over a period of time. If you're seeing any LT knock in your logs, you'll have to reset your PCM to clear the values. Take note of the LT knock and when you're seeing it, however, because chances are you will need to adjust your ST knock to prevent LT knock.
