Default Diablosport Predator Not Functioning Right...

Just recently got my tuning device in the mail, after about two weeks, but that's another story. Followed the instructions provided in the package but I am at a dead stop. I tried to plug the diablosport into my diagnostic port as directed, but all the predator does it illuminate. It does not shoot, to another screen or anything...no attempt to boot up like the manual says at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, in advance.

I dont have mine yet but im sure someone else will ask this...

can you go through and give a step by step breakdown of exactly what you are doing.

like

step 1
step 2
step 3

etc

maybe that will help people help you.

It should illuminate and say 03-05 Srt-4 and go to the menu screen. If not something might be wrong with the unit itself ( which I have not heard of yet) but thats not saying its not messed up.

Did you check the lighter/diagnostic port fuse like the instructions say?

Thanks for the help guys...and yes I checked the fuse, it was fine. A little dissappointed...waited about two weeks to get this device, but we will see what occurs from here. I will be calling diablo tommorow morning. Keep you updated. Thanks again.

If you can, take it inside and plug it into the wall outlet (not the OB2 cable dummy! lol) If it still does the same thing, odds are pretty good that there is something wrong with the unit itself.

But, I agree.. this is the first time I have ever heard of a predator having what seems to be a hardware issue.

If you can get it to power up properly in the house, I suppose there is a chance that either the cable to connect to your OBDII is Fubar.. or, the port itself.. possible wiring issues in the car?

I dunno man, just tossing a few ideas out there!

-Will.

Thanks again for tuning in, much appreciated. But yes I did take it back into my room, and plug it in to an external power supply and it did the same thing. It illuminated but showed no sign of basically anything. Hopefully I do not have to send it back and deal with shipping issues again...maybe there are some authorized retailers in Yuma, Arizona....definetly keep you updated. Thanks again, for all the information.

Try re-loading the crom to it and see if that fixes it... seems like the bootloader is fooked. That "should" fix it.

I recently contacted DiabloSport for their advice on the problem at hand, but they referred to me back to Rage-Tek. I called Rage-Tek, and instead of trying to diagnose the problem at hand, i was told to just send it back for a replacement. Instead I will send it back for a refund and choose another tuning path. Thanks for tuning in all, again it is much appreciated. Just wish I got more than "just send it back and we'll send you a new one" after I waited about two weeks for a product that should have shipped in two days. Thanks.

Rage is trying to help you out there.. Why not send it back and get a new one?? Im sorry that you had recieved a predator that was messed up, but they are trying to help you out here, an your refusing.. I dont see what the problem is..

I can understand your frustraion waiting 2 weeks for the unit, but its the Holiday season though, imagine all of the shipments that are being done..

Are you going to try what I told you to do? It's probably the problem... I could care less what Rage told you to do or about the shipping etc... You should try what I told you and there's a 90% chance that will fix it...
