The DSP can be used to prevent the CEL from going off from having a straight pipe, but it doesn't disable the code all together like the staged PCMs. It sets them to "not ready" and therefore, at least in my case and others that I've seen, won't pass inspection unless you set it back to stock. If your mods are mostly bolt on and you can run with a stock tune, make sure your straight pipe has a bung that will prevent the computer from setting off the CEL, set the car back to stock, and then drive it for like 15 miles and you should be good to go. I learned this the hard way driving over 100 miles trying to get the damn thing to be "ready" lol
