Default Crom updates and custom tunes

I was tuned using crom 9r12 is it possible that using a newer crom like 9r17 could change the tune or the way it makes the car behave.

There could be some changes that will not "stay" if you switch over to the newer CROM file. If Nemo tuned it, then you should have a saved file somwhere and that file should work on any of the CROM files... should being the key word.

If you upload your original 'custom' tune from Rage and NOT your 'Last tune written' to the Predator, I don't see why the crom rev maters.

I wouldn't think it would matter either i'm just trying to narrow down the possibilities.

Makes me wonder if my knock threshold was upped when Aaron did my tune. And If I could flash mine back to stock put in the new Crom. (im on 16 right now) and flash my custom back in.. Would that up the sensitivity?

I put 9r16 on about a month ago and it seems ever since when i power shift i'm getting a lot of knock during the shift....it goes right away but it takes long enough that i can feel the car pick up as the timing comes back, so i'm just trying to figure that out.The custom tune should be written over the tune thats in the pcm you running unless the 93 octane tune was used as a base,in that case your knock sensitivity could change with the updated crom but i don't know for sure.

I'm pretty sure a different CROM in no way effects a custom tune.

Well I should shoot myself cause my car was running better than ever on 16. I decided to upgrade to 18 and I did, needless to say my car sucks now. I put the tune back on and it ran like sh@t. I tried every tune I have and same thing. John from PTP sent me 2 tunes and same thing. I had a event that I wanted to run on last sat so I ended up putting it back to stock and using my dTec for the event, didn't do too good (13.1) but at least it ran all night. But it did proof to me that either the 18 crom has issues.

The issue is, it pulls hard as hell until i go WOT, then it simply falls on it;s face

Comments welcomed

The only real proof would be to revert to the 16 crom and it magically fixes your issues.

Have you done this?
Have you fixed it in another way?

There have been documented issues from CMR tuners that some custom tunes would not flash all(or any) of their changes to the PCM long before 18 came out.
Of course if no changes were being applied to the PCM from the custom tune, your car would "seem" to run like shit.

I would be ABSOLUTLEY sure all of you running year old croms, UPDATE your DS Downloader to the newest version I'm using 2.2.0.1
