I already have a SCT xcal 3 and have my current tune from that. Could I data log my SCT tune with the DSP? Also what about tweaking that tune. The DSP should tweak a tune written from the xcal 3 right? Just curious because I have a xcal 3 already. I have a chance to pick up a DSP really cheap. I prefer data logging and tweaking tunes with the DSP. I wanted to make sure I don't have to uninstall my custom tune that I have on the xcal 3 first.
You can datalog using the dsp but you cannot adjust an sct tune with a dsp or vice versa. You have to adjust the tune with the device that flashed it. If you wanted to convert the tune from SCT to DS I could probably help you do that.
Is the conversion fairly straightforward? I also have an SCT tune but would like easier adjustability. Thinking of switching to DSP but would like to save the current tune as a baseline since it was apparently a dyno tune done by the previous owner.
You can do changes to the SCT tune with the DSP. I did it with no problem at all. I got a AGP SCT tune with my old 50T set up, then I use my diablo to data logging and fine tuning on timing and fuel.
Thats correct. If you have an existing SCT tune, you can marry a Diablo tool and adjust as if it were the "STOCK" tune. DO NOT FLASH the DIABLO tune or it'll overwrite parts of your SCT tune.
At least some of us know what we're doing:thumbsup:
