Buying a used DSP
Hey guys, I am planning on purchasing a DSP from one of my buddies who is parting his car out.
He says it comes with everything, including box and serial cable for home computer.
Is there anything I should check for before buying it? I know its not locked, I don't know how new the current software is on it though.

The CROM update is free off of the DSP website. Just make sure it's unlocked and you should be good.
BTW - thanks for the fapping material in your avatar.

be 100% sure it's unlocked. I was told mine was and in fact it was not. DS software is free to download/upgrade on their site. Do it

Alright good deal. How can I tell if it is unlocked? I have ZERO experience with these tuners.

When you plug it in for the first time, there will be a conflict if it's not unlocked because it will be looking for a specific PCM and the CAL ID.

I may be thinking of SCT, but I thought it was around $150.00.

I'd PM each moderator in the Dodge Gas forum to see what they can do for you
