Default 3bar with DSP tune still idling bad

I installed the 3 bar map on my '04 and my car started loping really bad. The car does have crower s2 cams, but it never idled like this. I had it tuned by a CMR dealer this weekend and the car still idles the same after he rescaled everything. Shouldn't the rescale have smoothed the idle out.

It should have idled a little better.

Did you remmember to clear the LTFT? The fuel trims don't clear after a reflash

I had it tuned this weekend at Pwerks and am happy with the results. However this damn lopey idle is getting old. Should I try and disconnect the battery for a few minutes? Is that how I clear the LTFT? Thanks

Yes,Yes

Raise the Idle 100-200rpm, if that doesn't smooth the idle like you'd like, use stock cams.

Also with the crower s2 cams they need to be adjusted correctly or it will lope. Did you use a cam fixture to set them or dyno tune them? Often times what appears to be TDC on the pulley isnt exactly TDC.

I don't mind the lopey idle, but when I put the 3bar map in the idle got much worse. And after the rescale it still idles crappy.

Do you know its a good 3 bar MAP that you put in? I bought a new one before that was bad. Made it a pain to figure out the problem, since it was new I just assumed it was good. Is it a Mopar or GM 3 bar?

You could do a log from start up and then idle to take a look at whats going on.

First thing, You HAVE to have a 3bar TIP and a MAP.

The way to check the Map/TIP scale is to compare MAP and TIP pressure reading with the KEY ON and the ENGINE off with one another AND a separate Barometric pressure gauge. Obviously all 3 readings should be equal.

I went out and unhooked the battery for a few minutes. Hooked it back up and the idle has really smoothed out. Next question, my afr's are bouncing around between 11.8-12.3. Shouldn't they be closer to 14.7 since they were rescaled with the CMR software? Thanks

may want to drive it around for a few minutes and see if it leans out some. If not you might want to look for vacuum leaks as well. What does your BARO read with the key on engine off? Then what does it say at idle?

If you want to shoot over the tune I can take a look at the idle settings. We normally bump the idle with those cams, they are a little lumpy, even worse when it gets cold out.
