Default Who does this?

Put together a motor Thursday,
Install the motor Saturday
Finish the motor Sunday
Make sure all is good during the week, ironing out the inevitable kinks ( including pioneering 2.0 cams)
trap 122 mph on Saturday on street tires

HA!

the car was running like pure shit all week ... we somehow re-did the timing & got the car running pretty good

I haven't even boost leak tested the car because I don't have a 4" tester - only 3" and 2.5" ... I gotta boost leak test & replace my pcv valve which I believe is why my car is smoking ... the turbo & the pcv are the only 2 things that were re-used off my old motor that could be causing smoke at WOT

I still can't believe I picked up 32mph in the back-half with my shit-ass street tune and only 23 psi

HA ... I'm still unimpressed by my ET's ... 12.8 is terrible and 2.3-2.5 60's is just embarrassing

I need more seat time to get used to the street tires & hopefully I can get the 60's down ... 6 runs yesterday didn't give me much to work with

once I was around 400 hp or so, I consistently ran slower on street tires, I spun so much it slowed me down. I guess it can be learned, but I would not be surprised to see you drop crazy time and add some mph from nice rubber, I think 12.8 first day out is crazy, and you had to finesse the shit out of that.

I know I am not the best driver, but for me, driving identically I went from averaging around 14.0 to 12.6 on the first run, I had been running low 13's on bfg's and I still did a 12.6 first pass on the Et streets
(obviously I have since lost the driver mod)
