scam or not?

I have a offer for my car,now the Persons I have been in contact with are basicaly saying they buy specific cars for clients and deliver them. any ways I have heard of scams but this one seems a little odd he says they will send me a certified bank check and when it clears on my end for me to contact the shipping company and they will come inspect/pick up the car and ship it to the buyer in this case "canada"! sound a bit fishy to anyone?

Uh yes... Then wait until the check clears, car is shipped, and the check comes back bounced because it is fraudlent.

take the check and deposit it. but dont call them for a week or 2 afterwards
