The car's crumple zones did their job on that one. Looking at the door, there seems to be minimal damage recieved to the driver's cabin. Thank god he's okay....I do wonder wtf happened though, he hit everything but the lottery according to the article.
What surprized me when I read the artical was where it happened. This is one of those 'All the houses look the same, kids play ball in street, tight, off the beaten path' neighborhoods. But at least the driver didn't hurt anyone and was able to walk.
If it was my car 20 years, ago my Dad would have called this a wake-up call.

never heard that before!
I got that from one of the teachers at NEIT. I hadn't heard it before either...but damn it kills me everytime I hear it. It was actually used to describe Rick's car....

LOL It's a new take on an old New England 'Yankee' saying. Like.."Bought that car for her two weeks ago. Look at the Damn thing. Ain't a square panel on it. God! She's hit everything but the daily double!" Have to qoute my Grandpa here. He'd use that to describe a great many battered objects.
