If you aren't however, I would HIGHLY recommend it
It's nowhere near as scary as I thought it would be, plummeting to the earth at 120mph. The most intense part is the initial freefall out of the airplane, and if you've been on a rollercoaster that takes a super steep drop, you'll know what it's like...but with nothing restraining you. You freefall for a minute before your tandem instructor pulls the chute, and you're then in the air for 7-8 minutes.
Next time I go I want to do the Superman and dive straight down and see how fast we can get
If you've been on the fence...do it, you won't regret it
been there.
done that.
did it as my first flight ever as an adult (which you could technically say I never completed! )
want to do it again.

you rock!!!!!!!!! I soooo want to do that!!!!!!! my dad did it for his 60th B-Day......he was too heavy and had to go alone......6 foot 4 ...250lbs...had to go for his reserve shoot....his primary tangled pulled muscles in his shoulders pulling the risers to untangle the chute...scared the piss out of him....I still want to go.....I'll try to get the pic it's funny as hell......now.......

When did you go?
I was there saturday with 5 friends, did another Course "solo" jump
BTW Terminal velocity for falling to the earth, 120mph
I was there on saturday too. We got there at 11, jumped at around 12.
Oh and fyi, terminal velocity is the speed at which an objects force of gravity is equal to the force of drag. Typically a skydiver in freefall, with arms and legs fully open in a laying position, will achieve terminal velocity at 120mph from a low altitude. If he pulls his arms and legs in to his body and goes into a dive, it will decrease his drag and he can achieve speeds of 200+mph.
World record for skydiving speed in a straight dive is 614mph, achieved at a higher altitude where the atmosphere is thinner to reduce drag.
