My advice; keep the cheeseball shifter knob in a drawer and buy an aftermarket knob--I put the Momo Race one on in brushed aluminum--looks better and won't come off...

As long as you don't have the Mopar BOV plate, the dealer should warranty it.

the dealer should and will warranty it no matter what other mods you have.. they have nothing to do with the knob popping off and its a known problem.

Yes, it's a known problem, when folks operate the shifter incorrectly, the damn knob pops off My suggestion, learn how to move the lever so that you are NOT pulling UP. It's not a three dimensonal mechanism.

As quoted above:

I know. I thought the sarcasm was obvious. Oops.

Install a MPx knob. Its weighted to be heavier than stock so youll have a more solid shift when shifting, and it has a special locking sleave that will lock itself onto your shift stalk and never let go. Ive had one on my 03 for nearly two years now and it has never come loose, or slipped at all.

Take a look here for more information, (click here) if youd like to get one just call up MP, we can ship one right to your doorstep and we have them in stock ready to go. Trust me, youll love it.
