Default Car Wont Idle ** IAC Code**

my car recently started idling real low at like 500 rpm. but its not all the time somtimes this will happen and sometimes it wont. and when it happens the car throws a code. the code is IAC. Now today my car wont idle at all, it will just die. Need help Fast

replace IAC ...

the car usually won't idle without a working IAC ... if it is broken, but will start, it will idle very shitty

also check the two wires running to the IAC sensor on the TB. I had this happen to me and the wires were shorted. I fixed them up and the car ran great.

yeah, what he said. the wires take a sharp turn to go into the actual plug. what usually ends up happening is the inside of the wire breaks and doesn't conduct enough power. I spliced and dropped some solder into them and it worked fine. I would check that before buying a new sensor.

it's on the throttle body. not the white plug... that the tps. the black plug is the one you're looking for.

found the issue like u guys said it was the wires they were cut re wired and everything fine now. Thanks alot guys
