OK! Finished both discussion threads, man that 1st one was whored out pretty bad.
And I also got the Manual for the DTEC FC and finished it. Looks pretty user friendly to dial in. I'm assuming you have a base map to start with or are we going to ground up your set-up? (Either way works for me).
Do you have the SIU/FDC option?
I already know you have the Wideband option.
I do not see any real big issues getting this dialed in, other then we need to do some sustained RPM testing under boost to get the AFR's dialed in where you want them. All we need is some Road, and some Time and we should be able to get your settings Street Tuned.
Looking forward to helping you out with this!
Xonic: You have a 50 trim also, any baseline settings to offer? Wanna come join the party?
NachO
I'll be in Lawrence all day for student orientation so there's not much I can do today.
As far as base maps I still have AGP's . Either way I don't have a return-line so his map and mine would be a bit diff.
Well from what i have read i need to try to tune it first with the dtec set to 5 across the board and get as close as i can with the FPR (I went to static). Then dial it in from there. It ought to be fairly easy maybe a little time consuming. I will hopefully be able to datalog with my wideband too!
We are going to do this on Saturday/Sunday this weekend.
No return line? Do you have a 255 and the Fuel pump rewire?
Thanks for the input!
NachO
just the 255.

Who did you buy the dtec from? I can copy agp's map for a 50 trim +750's w/ returnline and send it to you.
Still down for Sunday for the alignment setup? Or another time?
It's here! Shipped Tuesday and arrived today at 11:15am. I knew the Fed-ex guy so as soon as he saw my Addy he rushed it over. WOO-WOO!
+1 for giving out cold drinks to every delivery driver that comes over!
It's in good shape too, the box was a little ratty but everything was intact. I'll be coating all the old bolts/nuts with Kroil today, letting it sit overnight and doing the install tomorrow, AM.
Sunday is A-OK with me bro, we can get everything Zeroed out and maybe have some help with setting the basic alignment from across the street.
Holler at me.
OH I landed a Job, Waddell & Reed, Info Security Officer, Job Grade 26 on a scale of 1-29 =-)
$122,500.00 per year plus bonus. (step up from the last job)
Looks like the SRT-4 is going to get some Love'n
And I maybe putting a 64 with a 502/502 in the stall soon also =-)

PM me your email addy and I'll scan the paper and send you a copy.
Also their maps are for the typical AGP set-up but vary a little. Which pcm are you running?
The maps are for .50 trim cars with stage0/1 and stage 2.
There are two you could probably benefit from. One is for 750's w/ returnline and 1:1 ratio with 40 psi base and 20 psi boost. The other is for 750's no returnline 58 psi base fuel pressure.

I ported the Exhaust manni, didnt get pics of it tho =-(
Hogged out the WGA flapper to about 25% larger, and gasket matched the runners.
It's spooling up 200 or so RPM sooner, and hitting alot harder.

Will have to hear it... Still up for some tuning tomorrow. Got the dtec reading A/F ought to be easier especially if xonic gets me those graphs.. let me know

Yes we are on for tomorrow. Having those base maps will speed things up a TON.
It sounds like pure 4 banger sex to be honest. Not too loud but deep and throaty, under normal driving. Get on the wood and it's a monster. Fucking sick.
Lower Heat shield took me about 10-15 mins to remove once the brackets were out of the way. Having a lift and every tool known to man handy was a godsend. (Lift rental cost me 2 30 packs of Beer!, of which I drank about 10 HAHA!)
Spent about 2.5 hours porting the mani, Runners are ported and polished, the runner bends are smoothed out and the Transition area where the flapper sits is hogged out a but-ton. Also opened the flapper hole up about another 15%, I did not pull the compressor side off (stuffed runners with oily rags to keep shavings out). So no scroll porting was done. Left the compressor side alone also.
Total install time was bout 6 hours, taking my time and drinking beer along the way.
I left the lower heat shield off, I was not going to fight it back on there...
Kept the stock exhaust intact, no damage to it at all! so it's sellable if I want to.
Call me tomorrow, we'll get a time nailed down and get to it. With those base maps we should be able to complete a street tune in about 3 hours or less.
