The Nobel Peace Prize is worthless. I am curious though, what exactly did he do that was groundbreaking? Al Gore got one though, so that should tell people a little bit about how "prestigious" it is anymore.

I would have to say that Al Gore probably deserved it more than Obama..

Well lets see.. he hasn't really accomplished anything except for Cash For Clunkers which was a disaster. I find it humorous during his campaign he said he was going to cut the national debt in half, and then he decides to just waste more government money.

He's tripled the deficit. Is that the same as cutting it in half?
He was certainly nominated not long after taking office and nothing he has done thus far could qualify for a prize from Cracker Jacks, let along a Nobel Prize. Along with a nomination, certainly some form of narrative would need to be included outlining his accomplishments. Unless of course you are suggesting that someone can be nominated for shit they might do.

Well if Obama is going to detain people without trial for crimes they MIGHT commit, I suppose it's valid to award the Nobel Prize for accomplishments he MAY accomplish.
But then again, the Nobel Prize isn't always known for giving the prize to peaceful people. Arafat comes to mind.
