Default McCain vs. Obama - Debate #3 - Oct. 15

This is McCain's chance to turn things around. Does he stick with the issues or go after Obama with Ayers, Rev. Wright, etc.?
Predictions?

From blogs.forbes.com:

In the past week, the McCain campaign has made good on its promise to shift its focus from the economy to Barack Obama’s character. While McCain’s attack ads and Sarah Palin’s rhetoric have rallied the base, poll averages compiled by Forbes affiliate Real Clear Politics demonstrate that voters are focusing on the economy and moving to support Obama. The most recent national poll averages show Obama leading McCain by an ever-increasing 6.9 percentage points, 49.7% to 42.8%.

First! The old guy doesn't have it in him. This could just be the final nail in the coffin. I guess we'll see soon enough.

Let's not examine character, because it doesn't matter.

it does but no nearly as much as policy. i don't think cutting someone down should ever be a priority. it only shows how weak your policy is to cut down someone else rather than push yours forward.

It is a dumb strategy and that is why it is failing. It doesn't necessarily show weak policy, but doesn't show what your policies are either.

He's not going to talk about the economy. If you think that increased taxes and spending is a good way to fix the economy then he allready knows that you don't operate on logic that's why he's going after charecter. He's trying to tarnish the cult of personality that obama has generated with emotional people fawning on their "perfect" messiah. I also think he (mcain) will also do poorly in the debate because he is too afraid to challenge obama's charecter himself and only does so by proxy.

I missed the debate tonight cause I'm out watching phillies advance to the world series against the pathetic dodgers. What did I miss? Will have to catch the highlights on fox news when I get home.

he called Obama out on Ayers, but they would never answer the questions, so I turned it off and started to play some insurgency.

Not surprised, hope I can find that highlight.
I wonder why Obama didn't defend himself?

Just saw McCain attack Obama on Ayers on a news highlight. McCain seemed a little unsure of himself and wouldn't look at Obama.

As a neutral observer who hates both candidates... my opinion is that Obama absolutely trounced McCain this debate... it was pretty funny to me.

Obama is the next president. Stick a fork in mccain.

I was able to stomach about 10 minutes of it and I thought McCain did pretty well from what I was watching. Then again I did end up falling asleep after my 10 minutes of viewing. Should have recorded it so I could have watched it again. McCain did seem very aggressive and he needed to be. So in 10 minutes of watching I give the win to McCain.

I missed most of it but caught the end. When McCain said "my friends" I hit the off button and threw the remote in disgust. The remote survived somehow.

I watched a little but got tired of hearing the same stuff I hear everyday on CNN and other stations. Turned to south park for a laugh. Anybody see Carmen get his ass kicked by Wendy
