Praying for someone's death is pretty damn despicable for a pastor, let alone anybody religious. If I were in his congregation, I'd want him out of his position as pastor immediately, or else I would leave.
If they don't kick him out of the pulpit, they're just as guilty as he is. Unfortunately it sounds like that church might be another haven for fanatics.

yeah, this is over the top. Christians, most don't act in this manner. This doesn't do the situation any good.

I dont think he should be kicked out because he has a right to say and pray for whatever he wants. However, I do think it is over the line and I would not attend the church any longer.
If we were going to throw people out for hate speech, Obamas preacher, Obamas substitute preacher, and 95% of all the mosques would need to be gone.
Yeah I think it's over the line. But still, the church that Obama supports has been known to "hate the white man", and somehow slips under the radar. Two wrongs don't make a right and this certainly is not the case here either.
Just thought it was funny that a man of peace and of a religion that generally practices all around good for man kind, to say such a thing.

This is where the line between the Constitution and religious doctrine are drawn. Just because he has the right to free speech doesn't mean that it agrees with the religious doctrine of the church. The church is more than just the pastor. The Elders are the ones who determine whether a pastor is preaching what the church as a whole believes, and whether he is overstepping his bounds as a minister. They have every right to remove him from his position if he is not teaching the word of God, which in this case he is most certainly not.
So yes by church doctrine they have every right to remove him from his position, and they should and are instructed to by the very book they read from, the Bible. It's their duty as Christians to do so.
If we as Christians don't try to follow our own teachings as best we can to make an example of ourselves in front of the rest of the world, how can you expect anybody else to do the same?
i wonder what srt mcdouche has to say about this...here was what he said about people wanting president bush killed:

Here is where you are missing the differences however.
1. To my knowledge, the ONLY person in those protests people threatened to kill was Bush. They didn't threaten to kill any congressmen.
2. There were NO GUNS at any of those protests. There have been several protests now where people are showing up with pistols that are NOT concealed and are loaded. Hell, now they are starting to bring AR-15s!! This is just absurd.
3. Those protests were done without silencing other people over a specific policy. They were just basically protesting how evil and stupid Bush was. Should they have endorsed killing him? No, although there have been times where I have been VERY tempted to say that myself. However, I'm still against the death penalty and believe Bush should have been arrested and put in jail.
Hence, the liberals are STILL the more peaceful protesters. You lose, sorry.
