I let the cat out of the bag on our next event, and if you look at the starting line-up, you can see you were well represented.

As the chill is in the air, and the Family Holidays near, we are about to put an end to 2006. For most of us, this time of year will be filled with joyous times spent with family and friends. For others, it will be times spent in the Pediatric Hospitals, watching their kids/grandkids suffering with this illness or that. It is times like that, that make me humbled and happy that I have a "healthy" family, and my heart goes out to those who are not as fortunate.

If you are unfamiliar with the Winged Warrior Shootout, it is a charity event initially put together by my wife and myself, which started as a "toy drive" at my office years ago. The sole purpose of doing this event is for helping the sick Children at Riley Hospital for Children, here in Indianapolis Indiana. It has expanded over the past three years into a "battle" of the Import vs. Domestic manufactured vehicles and performance challenge, with entrants coming in from as far away as Florida, and celebrities showing up and joining in on the fun as well!!

We are going to do some EXPANDING for next year?s event, as we ran out of room for the spectators and participants the last 2 events we held at local airport properties. We are actively pursuing celebrity racers as well, and to date, there is a strong interest in those celebrities we have contacted as wanting to participate and race in this event. For more information on these specific details?please contact us directly as we are currently firming up commitments, so the list changes weekly.

The Winged Warrior III event will be run at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis (formerly known as Indianapolis Raceway Park). The itinerary is being constructed now, and will follow. There are many ways in which you can support the event and at the same time you will also have a link to your business four months after the event on the Winged Warrior website for increased value and exposure. The website sees over 60,000 hits per month and the event itself will see crowds in excess of 5,000 people. (Please look over the sponsor/vendor rates as they are very affordable, and the return on investment should be substantial. There will be plenty of space to display your merchandise or sell some merchandise and at the same time giving to a great cause. We also can provide you with a not-for-profit numbers at the time you decide you want help out in this great cause!! Plus you have the benefit of seeing an AWESOME competition, with an assembly of cars you normally wouldn't get to see at ONE EVENT!!

Thanks Mods for sticky-ing this. This is a truly FUN event for the kids, and it is NOT for profit, so ALL the money goes to the ones who need it. The unfortunate kids stuck in the hospital. We had Vipers there/SRT4's/Viper trucks and SRT crossfires also competing at the last 2 events, I would love to see the SRT Chargers and the SRT8's come out and race. What pieces of art in motion!!

Here is the latest news:

Those not knowing how this event works, it is like this: All cars will be put in classes. The import class "XYZ" will be racing with the Domestic class "XYZ", in all events/all day. So there is some "smaller battles" throughout the day. (trophies for 1st/2nd/3rd)in EVERY class, for both Import AND domestic. Repeat this scenario for ALL classes. At the end of the day, scores are tabulated and sorted,and we will get an OVERALL WINNER, Be that IMPORT or DOMESTIC. So it is a "TEAM" effort to dethrone the other side, as well as FUN throughout the day, in these "Mini" battles.

There are only a select number of spots for this event, so it would be advisable to "be" on the WW site, to watch for announcements there. Registration/Rules/Classes will be up when the Committee is done with them. (soon)

Please let me/us know if you have any other questions.

Don't forget, we will be having a HUGE EXOTIC/RACECAR and "REGULAR" Truck/Bike and carshow there as well, with LOTS of trophies, lots of Vendors, lots of FOOD, and mostly- LOTS OF FUN!

The "rules" committee is working on those now, I can't say for sure, but it will be FAST PACED, and a BLAST to watch and compete in!!! That I know. I believe I can say the skidpad is OUT! Not fun to watch I was told. Is there anyone who is on the other SRT forums who could make a mention of this there? I am signed up, but don't want to post my first thread over there, as this plug again. If not, that's cool, but I want to get more of the SRT's in this. NOT VIpers, as they are waiting to sign up now. I mean the SRT4's/SRT8 Chargers/etc... We have a photoshoot soon at the strip, and will have a SWEET SRT4 in it as well. the Indy SRT4 club knows I am an SRT4 fan!!!

Here is the BADBOY who says he is going to put TEAM IMPORT on its knees!! He does have a Carbon Fiber body on it, and 1083 RWHP, OFF the juice. Nice car, but it takes the WHOLE team to win. He could win his class..........Or not!

The Collection of cars this time are going to be AMAZING for sure. I do know the classes are done, and we will have openings for anything from STOCK to OMG, as I have said before. I will get the rules posted when the Rules Committee says it is time to do so. They put all the time into it
