I'm looking to find SRT-4 owners in or around the Quad City area. I live in Sherrard, but work in Rock Island, Ill.
I've been here less than a year but I've seen about five or six other NSRTs. There is a black, a red, an orange, and two silvers (including mine) that I've seen around. The silver works on the Arsenal (as do I...) If you've seen mine, a silver '04 with black eyelids, let me know. It has a nasty dent in the hood at them moment... damned road gators.
Anyway, I just wanted to post up and see if anyone's interested in meeting or just shooting the shit. It's kind of hard to know what mods to do without a reference of some kind. These forums are great (I have about 12 "how-to's" saved in my favorites), but it helps if you have someone to face-to-face with about questions.
I hear Cordoba is the place to run around here-I haven't made it out there as yet. (My SRT is stuck on stupid... still stock... mostly!)
Hopefully we can get something started in the QC!

EDIT: June 28; I saw another silver SRT today at the A-1 Rentals in Moline around 2:45 pm. Anyone in the QC out there?

Just saw your post in the central Ill. section. I'm in Coal Valley. I drive a 04 E-Blue SRT that has Mopar Stage 3, big exhaust, etc., etc. I belong to the Quad City Mopar Club and also to Chicagoland Mopar club. I try to hit some of the local cruise nights when I can. The next show for me is CMC's Mopar show in Dubuque,Ia. on Aug 23. A bunch of us meet at Cracker Barrel in Davenport for breakfast then cruise up to Dubuque. I'll keep an eye out for you , maybe see you around. The QC Mopar club is having a meeting at the Parkside Bar and Grill in downtown Moline on Aug. 9 at noon if your interested.
I might just check that out. I haven't modded mine at all. Probably one of the few left stock! There are so many mods that you can do to these; I don't know where to start. I have an idea now, though. AGP wastegate, a CAI, boost controller, and a BOV. Once I get those on, I intend to do some work on the suspension. Any recommendations?
Edit: Also spotted two SRTs today; a Yellow with aftermarket rims on US 67 heading into Milan, and a Red, eastbound, I-280 heading toward Rock Island.

Add to your list of mods a big exhaust. I don't know what you like for noise in a daily driver as some are quite loud. There are a lot of choices. If it;s not raining on Sunday I'll be driving the SRT to the club meeting. On another subject my wife goes to a gym in Rock Island to work out and she drives a 2005 Neon that has the SRT Deesign package. It kin d of looks like an SRT but isn't. and her car is red with some graphics on the side. Thats who that is if you see the car.
An SRT Design Neon? I've seen an SRT Design 300, but not a Neon. I think I've seen a picture of one though. Looks like a full up SRT except no nostrils between the headlights, right? That gym your lady goes to; is it on the Arsenal or is it in town? I haven't seen but about two SRTs on the island. A black (loud as all hell too!) and a silver that I think is owned by a dude in the Navy. (Works at the dam/locks)
You said you were going to drive the SRT to the meet if it isn't raining, what else do you drive? I checked out qcmopars.org yesterday. How many members drive SRTs? If I make it out there, and I am planning on showing up, I hope you bring the SRT. I've only really had a close look at one other modded SRT. I really want to see what everyone does with those stinkin', ugly-ass, get-in-the-way, vacuum lines and solenoids. God, those things are an eyesore!
I'm sorry if I'm coming off like a noob by talking you ear off! Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting you and the QC Mopars.
The gym is Ultimate Fitness in downtown RI. She always parks in the lot on the east side of Big Katz. You're right about the SRT design option, big spoiler, hood with scoop, and similar front fascia. Her car also has the Kicker/SRT stereo option. We found the car last fall used with 17000 miles and only 1 owner. I drive a 05 Neon thats all stock for my work car. Also have a 96 Indy 500 Dodge Ram pace truck, a 71 Plymouth GTX, a 02 neon and my 98 Neon RT. My insurance company just loves me. I'm the only SRT in the QC Mopar club but they put up with it. Lots of horsepower talks pretty loudly. o
I can now say I have spotted a E Blue at the Parkside Grill in Moline. A SWEET Stage 3 with a CF splitter up front. I must say, it's the cleanest car I've ever had the pleasure of riding in. I feel a bit inadequate though, after the quick--and I stress QUICK!--go round with rtsrt4, as my stock and dirty SRT looked rather pitiful. (And sounded, and drove, and... well, you get the idea.) But at least I now know what right looks like in terms of this machine.
rtsrt4, thanks for the invite and the ride. Your blue machine is gorgeous and exceptionally maintained. I am looking forward to the next time we meet.
The bar has been set; now the quest for horsepower begins!
Yeah, I remember. I'm just flat-out broke right now. Plus, the SRT is popping the p0551--power steering pressure--code (on top of the p0301 I was getting! I need to replace my coil...). New tires, new hood... ugh. It's a good thing I like this car or I'd be trading the damned thing in and get me a... well, hell, I don't know what I'd get, I just know it won't give me so much crap! I test drove a Caliber SRT4--didn't like it. Test drove a Chrysler 300C--didn't like it. Drove a stinkin' Z06 Corvette--didn't like it. Christ, this car has ruined me...
Hey I got an 04 silver SRT and will also be at that CMC show in Dubuque. I'm from Manchester (small ass town about 40 min. west of Dubuque). Ill be entering it in the stock FWD class (few mods that I'll be able to get away with and still be in stock class). I'll plan on seeing you there.

I won't be at the show, but keep in touch. Maybe the next time there is something going on in Dubuque, we can link up.
Rtsrt4 will be there; I don't know if he's taking the SRT or not...
Yes, the SRT4 willbe making the trip to Dubuque. My friend Brandon that was at the club meeting that just sold his Cuda turned around and bought a 98 Viper. I'll see if I can agitate him a liitle bit on the cruise north.
Tomorrow (Sept 6) is the big car show in Nauvoo,Il. I'll be heading south down 67 towards Monmouth about 7 in the morning. On another note I spotted a white ACR SRT4 go by my house in Coal Valley this morning. Also on the trip back from the Dubuque car show coming off the ramp onto the interstate with both of us in 3rd gear the Viper stood on it and I stayed right on his bumper.
