Went to the track Sunday to see what I've done so far this year. I had not been to the dyno as $$$ is tight so I had to go on track performence to see.
Hi Temp was 63 and cloudy wind about 15-20 mph. No track prep as this was Import Day and the track owner is a f.ck and could car less.
With a 2.0x 60ft I ran 12.50 @ 112 mph. That was my only pass as my MH/Steel wheel split the sidewall again. So with my normal 60 that outta be a 12.30 at 112.! I also anticipate more improvement from making a few passes as I only had one about 10:30 in the morning...it was cold.
An AWD Eclipse GST only had a 1.80 this day.
I'll get the 12.30/12.25 ET in a couple of weeks when I get some rubber..these MH I'm using are old have had it.
Stage 1, 3" EX, 3" DP, TCC WGA, turboXS HPMBC, Stage 2 Water/Meth Injection, Map Clamp, 22/16 psi, 11.7-1 AFR. Tuned with a LM-1 and our public highway system
What is your HP guess?

It was a nice pass......the crowd liked the 112mph trap speed considering the "import day" crowd is usually 16-17 second civics
I can agree with the lack of traction.....I was getting 2.3-2.4 '60 times on using bfg drag radials. I'm usually 2.0-2.1, and my 1/4 times where .4-.5 off as well. Trap speed was normal though. Oh well, stinkwater sucks!
What does the car wiegh with you in it? I would guess about 292whp and maybe 330wtrq? Unless the car is heavy. Did you have a load of bricks in the trunk?
12.5 at 109 was my best on stage 1. So that 112mph is fast!
Coming to Norwalk this coming monday? You wanna talk about track prep. I run at Milan and Norwalk alot and Milan is not bad but my best 60ft there is like 1.82 and Norwalk is 1.69. Hint Hint!

I weighed in at 2900 at the track scales with my arse inside. With a 1.69 60ft I could be a gawd like you! That would put me about 12.26 or so. I keep killing MH 23" cheapo slicks. Did you ever run their 26" tires? I have PT steelie wheels and a 8" slick won't go on.
Which HP calculator are you guys using? I see that there are 3 or so out there. Vector posted one the other day I tried and got 308? Thats probably high but 300 is close. I have to wait for the dyno. I want the 300 # for bench racing?
On another note with 50/50 water/meth I could not raise my AFR over 11.8-1 with a map clamp. Snow says I will loose .5 ARF with meth. Maybe my aaron clamp is shot. I may take some direct readings as I was monitoring it with the LM-1.
Sorry but I don't have the $$$ and time off from work to go. I REALLY want to go and meet the NoOhio boyz and chase your ass down the track, closely mind you! I have to drive 260 miles one way to work to keep a good job and stay outta town in an apt. So my time and mad money is severely hurt.

I'm not sure which calculator he uses but he thinks it is close if he takes away another 5% or something like that. I was just quesing at a HP for your car.
2900 is kinda low what did you take out of the car? I thought you where a big boy?.?.?
I did try a 26 x 8 x 15 M/T slicks and didn't like anything about them. Gearing was worse and they shook the car apart on the big end.
I really like the 24.5 x 8.5 x 15 M&H slicks for our power levels. They hook hard and are still alittle bit shorter helping us with gearing. 23" tire seemed kinda small on Vectors car last year and he pinched a side wall on one and that was the end of the 23" slicks so I never had a chance to try them on my car.
If you can't get the time off and money is tight you are excused from the meet. LOL.

DAS
I weigh 200lbs. I had off the usual stuff, seats, spare, jack. Also no 18 by 7.5 rims and tires on the back acting as an anchor. I also don't run a full exhaust.
Ya the side walls on the 23 sux to the max. The SRT is a bit heavy I guess. With tubes they seem to "hold up better". I've killed 3 now, 1 of which was borrowed I just love the gearing with the 23" and I figured that the 26" was heading the wrong direction plus a spacer is needed. There is also some loss on contact patch. I'm trapping at 5000 rpm in 4th and it seems perfect as the car is pulling madly.
Does Vector have the odd 23" still? I'm stuck right now using PT Steelies and a 8" wide slick is a stretch on a 6" rim.
Marion (mario03srt, so a search on this username to find out mods) ran a 12.8@107mph (i think) but ended up blowing a slick in the process.....so that was his only run of the day. HondaHunter and I know him well.......we all have spent a lot of time messing around with neons for the past 7-8 years (damn, I can't believe it's been that long!). He definitely knows his stuff.....I believe he has the second or third fastest stock turbo SRT4 w/o nitrous....
ah, yes, i remember this, now i see the depth of the discussion re: dr/slicks.
anyway, about the rather wordy run-on comment "good run mario", i figure if i get a whole sentence in i've made my weekly quota for publishing comments in the midwest forum. now i've posted not once, but twice (to the same thread!?!?!?!), i can take the rest of May off.

i damaged one of them tires
the one i posted i calabrated off of mine nad das's car last year we used it then went to a dyno and i just changed the peak number by subtracting
this seems to work ok
its around 20-25 hp off
give or take
its not bad for guessing
man you should come to the norwalk thing mario..........
