Just got my 15' PT steel wheels with winter tires from tires direct, well
I got 3 of 4. I mounted one on the front to see how much clearence and they do not fit without scraping the caliper!!! The dont fit proabably by 1/16 of inch or so (Give or take a 1/16).
I heard someone talking about spacers any idea what they were talking about, maybe a thin washer at each lug? Any ideas would be appreciated before we get some appreciable amount of snow.
The 15' steel wheel with mounted snow tires, Hankooks, are taller than 17' stock with low profile Michelins so they will not look small as I anticipated, of course the handling will suck.
I have asked a few times if anyone has actually ordered them and fit them, on neons.org, I even asked if the ones that are ordered from the website (tiresdirect.com) fit and the reply was yes. I really dont want to pay for shipping back to ohio for four rims and tires.

If you go to wheel/tire shop they should be able to set you with some spacers. My buddy got some spacers for his neon at a local tire shop. Only cost like 15 bucks for 2.

What size tires did you get? Also just use the washers for fittment test.
they will fail if you leave them in. Actually the mounting surface will fail causeing stress cracks at the wheel.
The wheel has to mount on a flat surface 360 deg.
