The one picture with the head covering the gas pedal. It says, "so I heard you like macs so I thought you would like one pedal" or something like that. I can't remember. It's reffering to the mac noises...they don't have right click.
Oh I thought you were talking about the other pic haha

It's to the officers discretion. There is no decibel limit.

The judge will ask the officer if he thinks you have modified the exhaust since the ticket, if he says yes, I'm not sure how you can prove that you haven't. The cop that showed up when I fought mine said that I hadn't changed it, which I hadn't.

Troof for the his word vs yours. See below for rest of story.

LoL.. Long story short, she says 'this car is gunna get you in a lot of trouble, you need to get rid of it' etc. he got a ticket.
lol that's awesome.

There's a reason he was the only one cited of the two Cow's exhaust is super freakin' loud. What good is wasting an hour or two bolting the stocker back on? He was cited for the noise it made at the time, not for the noise it may or may not make at the court house. I'm old. Trust me, you don't win these battles. It's purely your word versus his, and you simply can't beat the system that way. Losing battle.
I agree, but I did manage to win. And my car was louder than your guy's SRT's. I printed out pics of my whole exhaust that I took, the judge didn't care.
It went like this:
cop - "her exhaust is too loud"
me - "how can you prove that?"
cop - "I can't, it's just too loud"
The judge finally.. after 3 rounds of this... said, "is the car here?" I said yes, and we went out and he asked me to keep it at a steady RPM. I kept it at 2k in neutral of course. He said, "it's not too loud, you're free to go". I say, if you have the time/money, go fight it. I'm not sure how busy Akron courts are, I bet they are pretty busy, so you may have a chance. First muffler ticket I got in Stow was $84 (more than my first 66/40 speeding ticket!).
btw, the judge I got was one of the nicer ones. The others are tools.
you'll win... without a dB meter the cop can't give you a ticket that will hold up in court...
he's hopeing you pay the fine and move on without fighting it...
I fought my ticket back in '04 and won...
the prosecutor looked at the paperwork, chuckled, and when he asked me what i wanted to do, I said "drop the charge, without a dB meter there's no evidence", he agreed and the charge was dropped MUCH to the dismay of the cop being in the courtroom when the prosecutor told the judge they were dropping the charge... stupid old cop...
oh i is back lol. wtf 2 cops literally stopped by brians driveway and sat there for awhile. so i came back here. then 2 more did it... AGAIN. if someone called in my car i will lol. its sitting in the garage haha. win.
I guess it just depends on the cop, judge, and prosecutor then. The only times I've ever tried to fight it, the judge gave me a big ol' "fuck you, the officer says it's too loud, then it's too loud".

you got the shitty judge it all depends.... but thats usually the case with most tickets/courts. i love how everyone on the web says, no fight it, the cop wont show up. maybe in like, LA the cop wont show up. fcking cops here get paid to show up, they're gonna show.

I totally agree.. they cant prove whether it was stock or not at the time.. I say go ahead and go to court, tell the judge about the cars exhaust system, show the diagram etc.. I'm sure an exhaust ticket wouldn't cause points, but who wants to pay a few hundred bucks anyway. All you have to do is go to court on the assigned day, and explain yourself.
If all else fails, remember the PM I sent you Bryan..

it may not "hold up" in court, but ultimately the judge is the one who is going to have the final say, so even if the cop doesnt have any way to prove that it really is too loud, its up to the judge.
and muffler tickets are minor misdemeanors and carry no points. it's an equipment violation i think. it's "mufflers, excessive smoke/gas" . both of mine were section 337.20A
I don't get it. I had 1498 pages on 10 posts per page. I set it to the next highest, 20 posts per page, and now I have 749 pages. wtf are you guys set at??
WTF?!

LOL, I had a couple of tix where the cop didn't show. One, the judge said "well, did you do it?" (make a left turn without a signal) and I said "no". She gave me a nasty look and then dismissed me. The other was for speeding and the judge was seriously gonna try and fine me even without the officer present. I can't remember what swayed her, but she eventually let me go.

i know, right?!?! but i put it on default setting now lol
damn you got lucky wiggy. I think the cops here get paid overtime to go, and it's a set amount of hours, so if it takes them 15 min in court, they still get paid a certain amount.
I don't like the law lol. The uniforms are ok. But not the laws
