Hey guys, would anyone be interested in helping track down a boost issue on my SRT? I am currently running Diablo Pred and up until recently I was boosting normal. Just the other day I noticed I am only hitting around 7lbs now. My gauge does not sit at 0 when off anymore, so I ordered a new one and then I want to try and get this thing straightened out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

What is normal for your set up? Without a good boost guage it'd be tough to measure if somethings wrong. Does it feel really slow? I'm in waterford if you really need help.

Unfortunately I do not have a boost leak tester. My new gauge came in today, so I would like to try to get that installed and then go from there. When I bought the car it was boosting around 15 or so. This problem just started recently, I havent been pushing the car very hard because of the weather.
Wu, if you have some spare time and would like to help me out I would appreciate it. I would be more than willing to pay you for some help and advice. I work at the Lincoln Merc dealer in Rochester Hills, so I was thinking about getting the gauge in tomorrow down there and then see where I am at.

I'd love to help but I've got a birthday party tomorrow afternoon and then a business trip. I'll have to see what time I'm done with the party tomorrow. Is your boost controlled by pcm? If so the weather plays a big role in it. Colder weather lowers boost and vice versa. I'll let you know if I get free.
While you're installing that new gauge, just check out all your vacuum lines under the hood - start at the solenoids and working your way back is the best way to make sure you get the majority of them. Make sure the rubber connectors aren't broken and they're tightly connected - if they aren't zip tied at the connections, do that while you're under there. Check you're turbo hoses, also - make sure the clamps are good n tight.
I've found that a sudden loss of boost for no apparent reason is usually due to either a vac line popping off or a loose hot or cold side hose. It's also the easiest thing to check.
Hey here from novi, I currently have a 04 silver srt thats is broken and being completely rebuilt. Let me know if there is anyone in the Detroit or Oakland county area that i can hook up with when all this stupid snow melts.
finally installed the new boost gauge. I am still only hitting about 10psi, so I am pretty sure there is a leak somewhere. I am going to check all of the lines and hoses, but if anybody is available this weekend to give me a hand with testing it let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I've been thinking of putting a exhaust dump on my stock exhaust but was wondering if it would be too loud? is there anyone in the north Oakland County area (home) or grand rapids area (school) that has one so I could check it out?
ndswngs makes and sells the gold standard electric operated cutout, or the next-to-gold standard manual cutout. For cruising about town, you'd keep the stock sound; but at the track you can open the exhaust dump where they won't care how loud you car is.
