Default July 21st, Milan T+T

I'm heading down with a bunch of Cobalts, Redlines and whoever else wants to come.

We're meeting up here: 11500 Telegraph Road in Taylor Michigan from 2:30-3:15, and caravaning down. Trying to get there at 4pm when the gates open.

I'm sure the Cobalts would love to run some SRT's. Come on down if you're not working. Test+Tune is from 4pm-7:30pm, then its domestic muscle vs. sport compact elimination racing.

Should be entertaining. Hope to see some of you there.

i will see if i can make it. i usually go to norwalk since it is a much better track and cheaper, but milan is not as busy.

I've been meaning to check out that Friday night race - the "replacement" for the Under the Lights races, but just haven't had the time off. If I'm not working, I'll probably head down there.

Fun night. Saw a bunch of SRTs there that i didnt recognize.
A red one with slicks, another red with stripes and an RFL bov, and a silver running drag radials i think. Post up say hi!

I ran some excellent times, all on street tires. Managed to cut a 2.05 60' at Milan of all places, which equaled a 13.04@105.9, nearly 12s! Definitely happy with that.

On a side note, anyone wanna comment on one of my times? I'm only interested in the end, from 1000' to 1/4 mile, the times/speeds just seem weird. Here's the breakdown:

60' - 2.16
330' - 5.80
1/8th - 8.72 @ 83.18
1000' - 11.21 @ 100.89
1/4' - 13.31 @ 105.38

How in the world did i hit 100mph in the 1000', but only 105 in the 1/4? Would this be attributed to a boost leak? It just seems so odd.

Howdy! I was the silver running slicks with the Mopar on the hood.

The other silver was a guy from Windsor (screename on here is something like Euphoria) running street tires.

Looking at my timeslips, I averaged 5mph between 1000' and 1/4 mile, too. Then again....it should be a bigger difference on street tires than slicks. Hmmmm. Could be a boost leak. It's a good place to start.

Naw, I kept the slicks on. Trying one last time to eek out a 13.0 before the Stage 3 gets put on. Didn't quite make it, though - 13.3. Oh well, I'm not sad. My best ever has been a 13.2 - not too bad for a Stage 1 car.

I remember you talking about aftermarket turbo options. If you want to pick the brains of a great bunch of guys with a couple different ones, head on over to www.midwestsrts.com. The Toledo guys (Dasmotorsports) will give you all the info you could ever need.

I'm sorry I couldn't get out there with you guys. I had to work. I still don't have any slicks, if I did, I would've went to the doctor. I won't go back til I have some slicks, then I'll toast that stock clutch to see what it can do, or can't do. I would've taped it too, where's the videos??????
