Hey all!
I know there are a few SRT-4 owners lurking around the Waterford area (SW of Milwaukee, North of Burlington). I have waved at a few of ya!
Anyways, this is my first post to the regional forum, which I should have been doing before. Just never really thought about it, ya know?
I have had my 05 ACR (Red) since April 05 (Bought at Wilde Dodge in Waukesha, it supposedely was the first ACR delivered to WI). All I have done to it so far is put in Mopar air filter and switch to Mobil 1. But... I couldn't stand it anymore and recently ordered a bunch of stuff!
Stage 2 w/o toys (ecu, wga, map, tip, injectors)
Mopar plug wire set and NGK plugs
Mopar front STB
Performance autowerks rear STB
Booger shifter bushings
Poly motor mount inserts
Maxxfab full exhaust (cat back, 02 pipe, dp w/ cat)
Mopar BOV
I have from Friday evening (after 4:30 pm) to sunday morning 10am set aside to try and install all of these parts, won't need the car anytime during that period. Due to budget and the challange/fun want to try and install all of this at home.
I have a good selection of hand tools, pair of foot tall ramps, a large floor jack, wd-40, gloves, rags, lights, etc. so should hopefully be set with all that. I have a 2 car garage at my condo so have plenty of room.
However, it would certainly be appreciated and would make things alot more fun and quicker if anyone in the area would be willing to stop over and help out. I have reviewed the forums for how-to's but its not the same as having assistance from someone who's done it before.
Let me know if you are interested! I would provide soda, beer, pizza, chips, music, etc. for your time and whoever helped could have the stock parts as well. I could come up with some money as well for anyone who helped out!
hmmm... PM spindler27, he's in your area and he might be willing. Otherwise, im free saturday and i have a lift, so if you want to use that for the exhaust (maybe not 02, depending on how bastardly the bolts are) and the inserts that would be cool. also, i would throw out the booger bushings (or sell/return them) and invest in a Maddog STS (you can try out my 80% reduction shifter if we meet up).

Wow, that shifter sounds pretty damn cool! Does your shifter clean up some of the clunk of the stock unit? I heard that dodge used a truck tranny in the car to handle the torque so that explains some of it, but its the worst shifting manual car i have ever had!
I'm going to the huge Iola(spelling?) car show/swap meet this weekend otherwise I'd be up for it. I sent you a pm, if you don't do it this weekend then I'll do it next weekend or during the week for sure. Let me know

yeah it definately feels better, and my car is daily driven so its definately a driveable shifter. your not too far away either, you could have Chuck (the man that is Maddog shifters) install it for you even. hopefully you can see for yourself
