hey, assuming that i have all of the right parts and nothing major goes wrong with the install, how long do you think it would take for me to change it out? would you be willing to help me out if shaun isn't able to? i have never touched a transmission before so i have no idea what i am doing. give me an engine and i will go to town on it but put a tranny in front of me and i am like a cow at a new gate going WTF.

How much you looking to spend on a clutch? Clutch Masters makes one, which is a bit pricy ( $450 mark ) that doesnt need broke in very much.

Should take about 4-5 hours to do the clutch. FWD is a lot easier, I am giving AWD Estimate. I can do it, full out and back in in 2-2.5 hours when I really try.

I could help out depending on when it is. Hit me up and let me know.

i was looking at the one that ptp has for sale. their stg3 one here PT-Performance.com

it is basically a south bend clutch and it will hold more than i am making now to give me a little wiggle room later on if i decide to throw some more power at it. i don't know whether or not i should buy the lw flywheel(whether it will be beneficial or a hinderance). if i do go with the lw flywheel, the cost for just the clutch/flywheel part of it is going to run me close to a grand.

i am going on my anniversary trip starting next week and won't be back til the 12th. if i order everything by next week i could probably do it the weekend following the 12th. maybe shaun can come over too, to help, and i will buy and cook you guys some steaks or something for helping out.

Give me a call when you have some time and I can tell you over the phone what I typed out about clutch ideas. I accidently closed my short novel I wrote in response to this post and lost all the info and dont feel like taking another 30 minutes to type it out and find the pictures again hehe.
