Default Detroit Free Press: Emission Testing '07

God damn it! On the front page of today's Detroit Free Press there was an article pertaining to the EPA's planned emmission laws in 2007. Michigan only plans to test vehicles in 10 southeastern counties. The test will range from $25-$65. Supposedly, on newer vehicles, the test involves plugging in a test module underneath the dash. For older vehicles the "tailpipe test" will remain. The article even talked about a test that can monitor vehicles that are driving by using ultraviolet light beems. THIS IS SCARY!

I have an ED racepipe right now, all I have to say is thank God I kept my stock cat.

At the rate the world is going, we are going to deplete our petroleum supply in the next 40-50 years anyway.

It has been proven that newer cars burn cleaner.

The EPA should go after big businesses first before it charges people money to test their brand new fricken cars!!!

See the "big businesses" give the EPA a few million ever year starting sometime close, and then in 2007 when they are still getting there millions from the BB's to keep the EPA quiet, they then charge 25-65 bucks to 5 million ppl = about 200-300 million every other year or how ever that law is, this way they are making out on huge amounts of cash.

They would prob start charging the BB's if the US ppl would cough of 500 million to quiet the EPA and tell them to go after the BB's, but that will never happen.:crybaby:
