Nything fun to see while I am here? Here till Friday for work, anyone in this area? I am in Dublin at the Clarion.
Easton Town Centre isn't too bad, as long as you don't mind malls and rich snobbery. It's worth going just to see the cars. I once saw an Aston Martin, Countach, Modena, and Viper all parked in a row in front of one of the swankier restaurants.
Easton is a good place to see a bunch of cool cars. Especially when the weather is nice like this.
As for anything fun to see - it depends on what you like to do. If you want to do any shopping or eating, Columbus is crawling with malls and restaurants. But there are quite a few nice bars/pubs around.
Unfortunately, if you're leaving on Friday, you're leaving on the first day of Mopar Nationals. If you can, definitely stick around until Saturday morning. Then spend Friday night sitting on the side of Brice Road watching the old Detroit steel cruise the road. It's awesome. (And there's usually an "unsanctioned" burnout event going on in the Big Easy parking lot.)
Training for work. Level two, for promotable managment. Booring class for 5 days.
But the question is: Are they paying for the hotel and giving you a food stipend? Because at least then it may be boring, but it's not on your tab.
"Level two, for promotable management." That sounds impressive. I'd ask them for a promotion and a raise when you get back - 5 days of boring class - that's worth something! (and you'll know all about promotable managment... which makes you promotable!)
lol, yes they are paying for room, board and milage here from MI. And yep, new raise and level when I get home on Friday. the Promotable management is a class that is earned, not automatic, hence the term. You have to be worth while for them to train. Its the most fucked up thing I had ever heard but hey, I guess they like me.
