Cincy Mini-Meet 5/16 at Edgewater! - SRT Forums

Well judging from the response I received from local owners, it seems like E-Water on Import Day is a perfect day for a little mini-meet for Cincy SRT owners. We want to get the best turnout we can so everybody who can attend, be there. Here are the details:

Date: May 16

Place: Edgewater Race Park
4819 East Miami River Road, Cleves, Ohio,
Exit #7, off I-74 & I-275, just a few miles west of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Event: Import Day
IMPORT CAR DAY -CAR SHOW & Drags Gates open 9am Elim 1pm
(2nd IMPORT CAR DAY will be Oct. 2nd)
So anyone who can attend please do, all Shelby Dodge and 1st and 2nd gen Neons are more than welcome, lets get the best Mopar turnout we can. I am aware the OVC SDAC Spring Fling is a couple weeks before, and I will be there as well, but lets get the best turnout to show up the import guys. See ya there,

I will see whats going on and try to be there. A guy I work with told me i need to go up with him. I have a softball game that day but I am not sure of what time it is. If I can make it I will be there.

I'll try and come, would be nice if my stage 2 that supossedly ships tomarrow was installed.....anyone able to lend me a hand for beer and pizza?

Oh yeah and if I race...it will be my first run ever...so please be gentle ;-)

I'll be there, and maybe one or two of my friends.

Also, I'm making a little website for cincy SRT people to see where everyone else is.. wont be anything special, but could help us out on installs/group buys around here. It wont be up for a few days, but it will be http://home.cinci.rr.com/domination/

So who all is still on for the 16th...I'm curious because I have told a few friends to come down and chill....but now I remembered I also have to be in Louisville to see my old best friend haven't seen him in over a year...he lives near Tampa. I'm trying to see if he will mind if I leave him alone for half day or if he wants to come up and watch.

Might be bringing my little brother in his 2003 Mustang GT....X-pipes, cat-back, lightweight rims, wider rubber, short throw...nothing major...he has gears but he hasn't had them installed yet. He has never raced either.

Small chance my youngest brother might show up in his stock 2000 celica GT. He just had to have the engine re-built..grenaded. Well if a 17yr old is allowed to race...

Does anyone have helmets? I know we don't...how much are they and where do you buy them? They are required right? Anything else required?

FYI: I do not believe helmets are required. Maybe if your bracket/elimination racing. The only thing they do is a quick safety check of your car...and make sure your wearing okay clothes.

I went this friday. I discovered I suck at drag racing but I'm going to try again anyway.

Helmets are required if you run 13.99 or better. Which I did not /sigh.

Long pants and shirts with sleeves (this includes T-shirts, just not tank tops) are also required.

Oh and no open toed shoes.

You can bring beer but you can't have it in the staging lanes and it can't be in glass bottles.

It was $15 to race on friday not sure if the 16th will be the same or not.

I have to deliver a tranny to someone that lives in Louisville on sunday. I may have him meet me in Cincinnati. If so, then I may show up. I would like to meet you cinci srt owners.

Ya one is an SXT (sxt2k3) but he might get 50% off pizza! That makes him ok in my book.

Helf8704 mentioned he might have some booger bushings.

Honda Hunters car is in a billion pieces last I checked, waiting for his turbo kit to arrive.

There is a chance I might have to back out. I already scheduled my plans around this edgewater trip once...(friend coming in from Tampa to Louisville was spending the weekend down there, coming up early now). But my Cousin died last night in a motorcycle accident...so now I might have a funeral to go to.

If I do show up, anyone who can provide assistance spotting a boost leak would be appreciated. I might have it covered by then, not sure. Also anyone with an extra helmet...I'd like to borrow one if I break into the 13's (/wink Honda Hunter)

I have a large boost leak due to BOV problems (LONG story) so I won't be running... but I will be there for sure.

i'll deffinatly be there, told my boss im just not coming in sunday.
BTW edgewater has never told me to get a helmet, but ive not gone faster than 13.8 in my old stang.
