Well last night I was talking with a coworker who has a friend with a vette. He was talking about it and how fast it was etc, puts down 400whp NA and runs mid 12's and I mentioned I'd like to run him sometime for fun.
Well he kind of laughed at that and I explained the mods I had etc.
Well he wasn't buying it and when I said my car has an 11 second pass in it with slicks and he refused to believe me and said I was more in the mid 13's. He went on to say there's no way I have that much power on the stock internals...the is 95% regular neon minus the turbo! haha
He said if his buddy still had his vette out and not put away for winter we could run 0 - 150 from a dig.
I'll of course have race gas, my agp direct fit, and my new DCR clutch installed and broken in running 26psi falling to 24 plus the mods listed in my sig.
So how do you guys think I'll stack up on a 0 - 150 dig. Keep in mind this will be on street tires for both cars.
I'm gonna shoot him a link of this thread.

what's your average at the track with street tires? if you guys are both running slicks with the best times, i am curious of the results on street tires and on the street.i think he'll get you on the launch by a car and after 60 you'll catch up and pass him by 120ish and pass him to about 150 with about a car length or so. i figure, if he's doing mid 12's on slicks and you are doing 11's.on streets he may be doing high 12's with you doing mid 12's.hhmm....
From a dig, I think you'll lose. The Corvette has alot more torque and will jump to a big lead quickly. You'll start closing the gap eventually, but I still think the Corvette would win.
Give it a shot, and good luck!
if you two match up in the quarter, you should have the advantage since you are running to 150, but that vette is gonna be a lot slicker at those kind of speeds so its a rough guess.

aerodynamics ftmfw.
That vette will destroy you on the topend.
they are designed for higher speeds... their body's are slick smooth and not like hurdling a brick throught he air... (our cars)
Hey bud, are you the same Trav that lost to the Stage 1 SRT a month or so ago in Duluth?
If so I'd say your in trouble.
If not, you got a shot.
Good luck

What good is torque if you spin the tires? The reason the vette will pull him outa the hole is traction, not torque.
