Just wondering if anyone in MI (Detroit Area) has had their TPS wiring harness replace by the stealership. Also which one did you go to?

The dealership I work at (I'm just the computer guy) sucks. They seem to think since they know me that they don't have to give me decent service. I hate that.

yep i got mine replaced at 14 mile and van dyke at the jeep dealership. All you have to do is go in there, start your car and pop the hood. go in the engine bay and jiggle the wire harness and your car will rev up and down. That should do it.

Yeah the only thing is it happens sporadically and I'm not throwing any codes. I've done the "jiggle" test before and its worked. Other times it does nothing. I had my dealership order a TPS sensor but from what I gather its the actual harness causing the problem. And they're like "well we're gonna try the sensor to see if that fixes it first" Bitches

The problem is the wires that go to the TPS are too short. As the the motor moves it pulls on the wires, and will brake over time. I didn't take mine to the stealership but just spliced in longer wires to the new TPS.

As did I. Very easy fix. I'm on the West side of the state... so sorry, not much help here.

There isn't one dealer in my area that is mod friendly, so doing it myself was one of my only choices.

Yeah I just got my first house in November. Great feeling isnt it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to mod my car before that and now there is NO CHANCE IN HELL that there will be any extra flow going around. The wife makes sure of that!

BTW I live in St. Clair Shores at 11 and Little Mack.

I'm starting a fix the car fund. I'll be putting a little in each week and five years from now I'll have the car the way that I want it!

Just kidding, you need to have her start a hobby so that she has something to spend money on too.

"If you need that new car part I get to buy that thing I need for my hobby too".

But it must be something that she loves just as much as you love to mod, or race, your car!
Just don't have kids yet, or you will never see any more mod money!

Got mine fixed at Crestwood Dodge last spring. I haven't had any problems since.
