any decent turbo mechanics near chicago? - SRT Forums

well, I am writing this post because even though i usually do most of the work on my car myself,I think i'll need help for this one...
I am installing the SFP tubular manifold , GT3040bb turbo , and all fuel MGMT related items on my car as soon as my stage 2 w/o toys gets here(modern perf. said three weeks) I could probably do it myself but i'm still learning alot about turbo's.. so if anybody knows of a reliable, and knowledgable staff when it comes to turbo's please let me know.... thanks alot,J.A.

I'd have to say AMS. They are in Arlington Heights and are very well known for tuning high powered DSM's. They've got an 10 second shop Evo8.

For real? Just think of what they could do for our cars like they have for the Evo. I REALLY want a local shop that I can take my car in for tuning and have faith that they know what their doing.

I may ride up there next week to see what they'll charge to install my 3" o2/dp.

I'm sure they would they are nice guys and I don't think they would turn work down.
Come up to RSD next thursday (15th?) they should have their 10.8 evo there.

Some of the AMS guys head out to Hooters from time to time on wednesdays so I'll try to get more info from them then. Also, Jon was in my traffic saftey class last month so I can always get the lowdown from him since we're toight now!
