Rock 104 and Advanced Custom Sound present the 6th Annual SUPER BOWL OF SOUND at Quaker City Raceway on July 20th, 2008. Quaker City Raceway is in Salem, Ohio which is outside of Youngstown OH, just an hour’s drive from the Cleveland, Pittsburgh, or Akron area.
The Super Bowl of Sound is an all day motorsports event that has something for everyone with events including Drag Racing, DB Sound Off, Car & Bike show, Burnout Competition, and the ¼ mile Wheelie Contest. Compete for awards in all events. For the drag racers, a gambler’s race in a bracket format will be offered if there is enough interest in addition to the all day test and tune. All makes, models, and bikes welcome!
Got a grudge? Settle it at the strip!!! We accommodate racers who want to settle the score against each other in our heads up grudge match racing!
Compete in any single event for $20, this gets the vehicle and driver into the track. Spectators are $10 each. Want to compete in multiple events?? No problem, each additional event after the first event of choice is $10.

Cool man, sounds great. Yeah we usually have a pretty good turnout. As far as the quality of cars go, there are typically some pretty fast cars that come out for this. A couple of the mustang and camaro car clubs from the area will be out there, along with 4 or 5 other ones that I know for sure will be there. Plus there will be the regulars that come out because its a good day to get a bunch of passes in for real cheap.
As far as street cars, here are a few cars that I know the people personally (off the top of my head) that will be there:
Twin turbo 350 Z
06 Mustang blown and running the bottle (11's i think)
70 Olds 442 (11's)
the guys from Thunder/Lightning Motorsports - they have some fast 'stangs and SRT-4's
Civic's running 12's
So we should get some pretty fast cars like we normally do, and also hoping for a good bike turnout as well. And the track will be prepped pretty good as well, Ill be making sure of that personally.
