Default Worth to keep a 6600GT alive?

The fan on my card went kaput. It now overheats. An aftermarket cooler will run around $30 - $40.

I'm currently running onboard video. I still play my old games (Far Cry, Doom3, COD2).

I have a POS AGP board so if I buy a new card, I'd have to buy a new mobo for the PCI-E. Wuduyathink.

I would say yes, that game can still rip through CS: Source and Doom 3 no problem. I think you can get cheaper than that if you look around. Check [H]

Yes. I was able to play bioshock(low settings) and COD4(low settings) on the 6600GT, Although:

I had the same problem when I upgraded last time. I was still in the agp and single core processer, so I bit the bullet and upgraded to a new everything and went out the easy way this time. I was able to garb this deal here: Newegg.com - CyberpowerPC Gamer Infinity 4410 Core 2 Quad Q6600(2.40GHz) 2GB DDR2 500GB NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT Windows Vista Home Premium - Desktop PCs

pretty good price for what you get. I plan on upgrading the video card here soon, but it does play all the new games on at the least medium high settings.. Plus it came with windows vista(I really needed a legit operating system this time around...)
