General Chaos & Mutant League Football for Genesis, and S yndicate Wars for PS1.
General Chaos FTW! Devil Dice for the PS1. Toe Jam and Earl. Powerstone for the Dreamcast. Virtua Striker for the PS1, Super Soccer Champ for the NES, sooooo many.....Golden Eye and Blast Corp for the N64 Killer Instinct (arcade only!) Good God I could go on forever
Pretty much any Mortal Kombat at this moment, for some reason, i really missed the games. So I have an SNES emulator with Ultimate MK 3, but 2 days ago i bought on ebay MK: Deception which was one of my fav's back when I had my PS2 so i can play it on my PS3 and i'm gonna order later on MK: Deadly Alliance and MK: Armageddon.
I disagree. With the exception of the Animality run, which were ass.
street fighter is a much more technical fighter.. with the exception of mortal kombat 2, which was excellent, all the others were just there for shock value and not much else.
MK was extremely appealing to me.. when i was 11 and seeing a real looking person getting killed was just mind blowing and something that hadn't been done before.
heck, King of Fighters is much better than MK too..

i don't know how you mean technical? They are the same, you punch, you kick, you block, and you throw some magical energy from your hands, just one game you have a chance to really finish off your opponent and the other you can't.

Street fighter was/is a piss poor technical fighter game. You need something more like Virtual Fighter if you want technical. Or is that what you meant?

if that's how you look at it, and play it, .. then yes they'd be the same...(and there's nothing wrong with that)
but.. check out this video and maybe your eyes will be opened to a whole new world...
YouTube - Street Fighter - Justin vs Daigo <-- notice how they pay attention to each frame of animation.. careful and calculated approaches to avoid sweeps. then around the 2:30 mark.. you just gotta see it for yourself..... now of course most people aren't this good.. but nonetheless,.. the gameplay is incredibly deep when you delve into it a bit.
i mean i'm a big fan of SF as well and KOK, but for me the gameplay and storyline of MK was better
I bet you're a big fan of KOK.
Some good games mentioned in this thread. Carmaggedon 2 was so awesome, I wish they'd come out with a 4th iteration of the series.
That Barbarian game reminds me of Die By The Sword for PC. Man that was a crazy game, the game was based on a location damage system where you could actually get your own arms and legs cleaved off. If you lost a leg you'd be forced to hop around everywhere, or you could get your sword arm lopped off and couldn't attack back. Needless to say, it was a fun game lol.
Oh Messiah was pretty awesome too. I gotta see if I can get a copy of it, if it'll even run on Windows XP.
