Default What did you enjoy more?

System and the games.

I seem to have enjoyed 8-bit gaming more.

It's hard to believe that when I was a kid, I'd play a simple game like Super Mario Brother on my NES for hours and hours the whole summer and would not get bored.

I also beat every single 8-bit game I owned. Now with my newer system, after several hours of gameplay, I just get bored and the game just collected dust.

When I play any mario brothers game today, I still enjoy it. Infact, I might just pick up a DS and get NSMB and dig out some of my old gameboy games.

I picked PC gaming because its my longest running hobby, but I do still enjoy console gaming.

The most fun I had on a console was probably the N64, then it would be either SNES or Dreamcast.

I just can't justify buying one though when I know I'll only buy 3-4 games total.

I can't decide, it's a toss up between the 16 bit era and Super Nintendo for me or the 32-64 bit era of the PSX and N64. I've owned just about everything out there but it was that time frame from my preteen years (I was 11 when I got my SNES) to my teen years (I was 14 when I got my PSX) that I have the best memories of.

I went by the one that has been the most fun overall. I think for many of us maybe the 8bits just because it was easier when we were kids for some reason to have a ton of friends over and play.

with the xbox I would have weekends where it was like that all over again just me and friends playing and hanging out.

sadly it seems you can only do that on a PC if everyone has there own PC to bring with them.

LAN parties are awesome. Consoles are great if you have 4 or less, but if you've got 20 people, there's no match to a LAN party at all.

course then you have to have a place big enough and enough outlets for everyone.

then again you also have to know enough people that have PC's which again for me is a pain, but it always have looked cool when I have seen them on video

I wasted many hours of my life at counter-strike lan parties

pc gaming i still enjoy the most, even though i dont currently have a desktop to do any modern games.

Lan parties >> Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition was insane. Instagib playing through the entire night, non stop. My friends and i realized we stopped blinking at some point in the early morning because all of our eyes were burning like hell..
