Ah, so when you can't answer a question to support your argument, you descend to name calling and insults.
you've lost this debate.
Seeing as how my "argument" was nothing more than a personal opinion about a system I use to own, and its play value with me as an individual, and you taking that opinion, pretending you're a spokesperson for Nintendo, getting bitter because I claimed to have not enjoyed the majority of the games, and then pretending it was debate based on facts; it seems like you have lost, Mr. Fanboy.
IDK...a keyboard was a lot more fun than the wii remote if you asked me. I mostly played FPS and the occasional RPG like Titan Quest. But FPS on the wii is... Red Steel made me cry with it's N64 graphics and horrible controls. $4.99 FTL!
oh no dont get me wrong.. im not saying the wiimote is better than a keyboard... but the IR controls can mimic a mouse pointer.. twin analogs cannot.
now yes, they screwed it up in Red Steel.. but check out Metroid Prime 3 and it's night and day. again... it has to do with being informed when you head to the game store

Try again, you internet stud.
i'm not any kind of spokesperson. i'm a gamer. an informed gamer at that. i'm also a member of the press for the game industry... i have press access to websites, public relations contacts, the whole 9 yards. i write about video games part time(hour or two a day) for a legitimate website... but hey,.. what do i know?
oh, and i actually PLAY them(a lot) before i pass judgement on them, rather than just trying to act cool by calling people names on the internet in an attempt to win a debate i could never actually "win". and YES, there IS a debate here. the question being are you fair in your judgement of the wii as whole, based solely on a very limited experience with it. the answer is no, and you've proven that to the level you've stooped to here. good day sir.
oh,.. and since you seem to think i'm some sort of nintendo shill.. i currently own a ps2, wii, ds, 360, dreamcast, nes, sega master system, and gameboy advance. i will also own a ps3(most likely) by the end of this year. all of them have their strengths, and all of them have their weaknesses.

If your posts are any indication of how you write for your Wii magazine/website (whatever the hell it is), then it's a great indication that anyone can get a writing job, first off.
Secondly, your first sentence in this thread was "you guys are morons," where you immediately took the defensive side, as "neutral" as you claim to be, with your overly nerdy abundance of claimed gaming systems.
Another humorous claim is that there's some sort of lengthy duration one seems to have to attain before they're able to form an opinion about the gaming system. My comment was based on my year of play experience with the system, and here you charge in with your Nintendo armor like it's the battle to determine the kingpin of gaming. Honestly, guy, sit the fuck down and relax for a minute. Just because you're all over the Wii like it's a hunk of gold doesn't mean everyone is going to be. I mean do you act like this in real life when you hear kids talk about a disappointing game? Does your nerdy self walk over with your sweatpants and tshirt with mustard stains on the front and reprimand them, claiming they aren't true gamers and they haven't earned the right to badmouth the Wii because they haven't owned it for long enough?
And lastly, we can't forget that you clearly take internet banter way too far. You are on a forum...a F.O.R.U.M., which means your opinion is moot in point, specifically when the thread lowers to the 2nd page, and by then, everyone has forgotten about your bulldog antics on trying to force people to enjoy a system.
So, Mr. Fanboy, until there's a thread that says "Dazzle me with the amount of gaming systems you have and how you try to force someone to love a system," I really don't think you are in any position to claim any other people are "morons."
first off, i'm writing on a forum , not the site i mentioned. they're two different things, and there's no expectation of me to spend time forming perfect grammer, capitalization, or spelling on here.
..when i called you guys morons i roped you into this debate. i guess you're new to off topic(dont think ive ever seen your name before today), but thats how you start an interesting discussion here.. but once the discussion is started, you can lay off the insults and try to make a point with logic and reason.

and again i say a year is not enough time... software-wise. heck,.. if we gave the ps3 only one year it'd be out of production completely by now. it's a known fact in the industry that developers need some time to iron out "what works". a lot of games in the Wii's first year did not, there's no denying that. but the games now are night and day.. better graphics.. motion controls *that make sense*.. more control options.. higher production values.. online features, and for the console itself, a ton of new free content in the form of new channels that they keep adding every few weeks. to play a handful of games in the first year and judge the console for it's entire lifespan is just ignorance. i'm not saying that in a mean way.. it's just fact. i mean, again... name a ton of great games that came out for ANY console in the first year... generally there's one or two... but that's about it.
and finally.. again with the fanboy comment.. at this point i can only assume you don't understand the definition of the term, as i am not blindly defending nintendo nor blindly putting down any other console.

It's kids like that you give other gamers a bad name. Despite your age, you act like you're a 12 year old brat that's throwing a tantrum. Instead of cutting your losses and coming up with some agreeable reasons why the Nintendo Wii should be reconsidered by people, you instead label us "morons" and continue to spew your Pro-Nintendo propaganda in a way all too familiar for the internet. You are not different. Your bulldog approach is not new and you're certainly not changing anyone's mind for the better. If anything, you have convinced me to never play the system again so I don't run into such a self-proclaimed, gaming godly and egotistical dolt such as yourself.
Now what other systems do you want to bitch and moan about and get all defensive regarding?

that's what i did for this entire thread. the fact that you continue to ignore that is your problem. do i need to copy and paste the reasons from my previous posts to satisfy you?

Pro-Nintendo propaganda
what propaganda would that be? the fact that games in year 2 and 3 are better than games in year 1? that's not propaganda.. it's a fact.

good for you!!! noone cares!

just don't talk trash about the dreamcast or you're REALLY gonna hear it
anyway... look.. don't feel bad. a lot of people on this site have debated me in the past. all have fallen. the reason being that i only debate when i know i'm right. i back it up with facts, and you just make yourself look like a sore loser with your insults. i know some people need to be "somebody" on the internet in order to feel good about themselves.. but no worries.. someday people will know your screename. someday.
Just where I wanted you - back on the defensive in the "this is a debate and I won" corner. You're far too easy and repetitive, but I'm sure one day (hopefully not MUCH longer) you'll learn the difference between forming an opinion and giving factual information.
pat yourself on the back all you want. you not only lost this, you didnt even bow out gracefully like a lot of people do.. instead you dragged yourself down to the point of looking like a complete child.
typical rebuttal post of someone who has nothing relevant to say and is trying to concur up any way to make their butt hurt less by the spanking they just got.
You can call and consider me a child, but I know how to use commas, unlike a certain someone who claims to be a writer
Now when other gamers ask you who your father is, you can say "He's #56076 on SRTforums.com!"

you must know all about that.. you've been doing it this entire thread.
