I respect your opinion but I still think there ain't shit out there worth buying
Then you aren't a true gamer. I bet you're into pretty graphics
To the OP:
Wii Play is fun with others
Wii Sports is fun
WarioWare is cool, but wears out after you beat it ALL (ppl don't like looking like morons for some reason )
Zelda = awesome
Metroid - I didn't like it much, since you have to do alot in order to get somewhere, but it IS a nice game.
Smash Brothers = great
Mario Kart = I get bored after doing 2 cups, but hey, they're long
MySims = my sister was addicted to it, till she got a new Sim game for PC
Mario Galaxy = personally, I think its the first "eye candy" game for the Wii with all the worlds and all the stuff going on in the game.
I have all 3 next gen systems, DS lite and PSP. Now that I think about it I don't care to be a "true" gamer because I'm NOT. I'm a casual gamer. So I guess what you said is right.
Gaming on my PC was my life...I hated console gamers. Now that's all I do =\
And coming from a PC to a console it's kind of hard to "not" be about graphics to an extent...HL2 was so far ahead of so many console games for years
so why don't you buy the games that don't use the motion controls? you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
..and i'm not acting like a "prophet". i'm acting like an informed, non-fanboy gamer.
Yes, let me buy the games that do not use the motion controls, bringing the good game number of the system to what, zero? Suuure. I might as well use my Wii for nothing more than playing SNES/NES games I could download from the Marketplace.
Non-fanboy gamer? LOL. You sound like the biggest nut-swinging fanboy in this thread over the Wii. Hurry, I think there are some kids in an elementary school somewhere on the East coast saying the Wii isn't that great of a system. Get on your tights and your little Wii-cape and fly over there and show them who the TRUE gaming boss is, guy.

I don't understand how you could come from the pc and not be into controls. graphics are nice but its not like any console is gonna touch that. the wii is the only console with decent controls for FPS games(albeit only 2 of them so far have done it right: Metroid and Medal of Honor Heroes 2). But, I'll take 2 over 0. I play FPS's on the PC anyway.
Anyway,.. let us know which kind of games you like and I guarantee I can name a handful of Wii games you should like.

Who said I came from the PC? I have never liked PC games. I played a few of them; mostly MMORPGs like old-school Starcraft and Diablo/Diablo LoD, but I never got into PC gaming. I have been strictly console since the NES.
I liked Zelda, and I liked Super Paper Mario quite a bit. Those are the only two games I can safely say I truly enjoyed. Granted I didn't get to play any of the newer games, out of the year I had my Wii, those were the only two I got any sort of lasting enjoyment out of.

do you have any concept of how "quotes" work on a forum? i was responding to Adionik. but anyway...
so you had your Wii only within it's launch year, and you're judging the systems worthiness based only on those early launch year games? That's a great idea. how many excellent games came out in the first year of the Xbox360? Of the PS3? The DS?
i have both xbox 360 and wii. there are certain games i want to play on both sides. i play resident evil 4 (GREAT game, wii controls really make it worth buying), wii fit (use it mostly for the yoga workouts, i lift enough weights at the gym), super smash bros, and mario kart for the wii. the wii is a great alternate system to have for its exclusive titles. but i do prefer my xbox 360 (halo 3 FTW).

What flavor sugar did Shigeru Miyamoto dip his nuts in to keep your lips locked on them for so long? I'm asking seriously, Mr. Fanboy.

IDK...a keyboard was a lot more fun than the wii remote if you asked me. I mostly played FPS and the occasional RPG like Titan Quest. But FPS on the wii is... Red Steel made me cry with it's N64 graphics and horrible controls. $4.99 FTL!
