Could be something on my side. I had to tear up the story and just started toying around with the multiplayer. I didnt know what my dumbass was missing. This game is crazy fun.
My question is, how do you get you and your buddies into the same game online? I know party mode for BS'ing. However, when I go to convert it to online(Team DM, Turf war, etc), my friends and I typically get split up into different rooms. I tried creating a custom game and inviting them to it. But no one else ever joins my game.
We all went through and DMZ'd our xbox's to make sure it wasnt some firewall BS. Unfortunately the best way I have seen is a countdown with everyone hovering over the game type we want.
Anywho, Im sure one of you guys have been through this and might have some pointers.
you cant play a ranked games with your friends unless you happen to join the same game somehow, i believe you can do a normal game with your friends though...
i actually remember now having the same problem, that and my mic wouldnt work for some reason...
doesnt make sense since you have your xbox in the DMZ though, - i found the ports i had to unblock on my router and did that and it fixed my problem... maybe try rebooting your router after setting it in the DMZ? not sure if you did that or not...
Im having the same problem actually. I think its my shitty Linksys router causing the problem. Halo works well enough, but when I try GTA4 I usually get disconnected if I try to play with 2+ people. Time to get a gaming router!
Yeah I was doing it right. I tried it last night with another buddy and we had no issues. Must be my other rtard buddy doesnt know how to setup a router.
