Solution is getting an Ikea Jerker!

The CPU might short out if you put it on the floor, especially when all that dust gets between it and the heatsink.

ibtb

my latest system (well, new as of dec 07 budget was $600):

-AMD 5000x2 Black Edition (2.6GHz
-eVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320mb PCIExpress 2.0 x16
-Patriot 2x2GB (4GB total) DDR2 800 (4-4-4-12)
-200GB WDD SATA2 (Primary)
-200GB WDD IDE (Storage)
-Samsung DVD-DL Lightscribe burner, Black

all just BARELY tucked into (video card is an 1/8" from touching the PSU):

More case pix here none of my setup

i haven't OC'd this one yet, no need. previous setups i've had include a AMD 2100+XP processor OC'd to 2400MHz actual speed (the particular chip was known for being able to do that, think i still have it no mobo tho) and a dual AMD 1800+XP system built about 4-5 years ago. Both of the above were water cooled.

^^mentioning old XP chips made me think back...

I used to have a sweet XP 2500+ "Barton" core that was overclocked to beat out the much more expensive 3200+. Those were the days!

Why the hell does everyone buy Lian Li cases? I think they're kind of blan..

Lian Li were top of the line cases a few years back simply because they were one of the VERY few that were all aluminum (much better heat dissipation plus lightweight) vs. the steel cases (acts like an oven and heavy) that everyone else made. They were also one of the first to implement a modular mobo tray. They were also extremely well crafted and durable, typically using a brushed aluminum exterior.

I bought the one I have now 8 years ago and other than a few tiny scratches, this thing still looks brand new when I clean it out.

Google Lian Li and any review you find will rave about the company and their cases.

I'll never buy anything but Lian Li again, if mine ever gives up that is
