Just wondering who plays any PC games here and what they are?
I have older games for the most part. Starcraft, Diablo 2, Unreal Tournament GOTY, Tribes 2, Dungeon Siege 2, Most of the Command and Conquer games, but I'll go out and grab a copy of something else if there's a lot of people online playing a specific game around here (this excludes WoW).
when i finish blue dragon hopefully this weekend ill be back to Kane's Wrath. and probably back to COD4 multiplayer
also gonna check out the sim city societies demo coming out on the 12th... used to love SC up until 3000... but i hear they made some changes to Societies based on feedback from players so I'll see how that is. there's gonna be a pack where you get societies and simcity4 and it's expansion, plus the spore creature creator for 40 bucks

I've heard a lot of good things about COD4. I'm more of a RPG kinda guy but I might give it a try. It takes up a ton of space though, I'll have to delete a few things if I get it.
COD4 and Age Of Conan here. I play Cod4 in a league with a bunch of people. Yes I am a nerd sorz. COD4 is fun to play though, especially against others who can play skillfully.

Old WoW player, since day one. hardly ever play that any more but I do play "free" games, like Shaiya and Cabal. Big PvP games, free so long as you do not buy things that enhance your character a bit, very much like WoW but different enough to be addicting, much much better graphics too.

"The Cobalt firmly grabs you and whisks you along your way instantly. It does so with authority and poise, but while slipping relatively unnoticed through traffic, never being violent, or dare I say it, frightening. When you ask the SRT-4 to take you somewhere fast, it punches you in the face, throws you over its shoulder, and runs, screaming, so quickly that its tires can barely keep up."
I've played a LOT of MMO's over the years, and aside from the utter addiction of EverQuest, I'd have to say Shadowbane was one of the most fun. The completely unrestricted PVP was awesome, and the sieges kicked ass.

see, the brilliance of WoW is that those dated graphics makes it accessible to just about ANYONE with ANY computer built in the last,oh... 6 or 7 years.
which is why its killing it's competition.. aside from being a great game, they can sell it to more people than their competitors can sell their software to.
but, this new business model of free games is very intriguing. its been huge in Korea for a while and it's really up and coming here in america now.
