..and you can do the same with pc games.. which saves you even even more.

..or add one to your pc.. if you want it.

why?

nope, only you are.

Well let see I guess you owned my on the 4 dollar deal, I didn't realise 54 was more than 50. But, I've yet to run into a hacker sense halo 2.

The local eb wont take pc games as trade-ins, and they don't carry any used pc games. Maybie yours does.

You can add the blue ray to your pc at extra cost

Why a HDTV for the pc guy? Well to me it seems slilly to spend a couple hundred bucks on a blue ray player and the 25 on a movie to watch it on a 22" monitor. But if you and your friends want to huddle around your pc to watch a movie go for it.

Besides if your an example of a pc gamer, and you have a PC, a xbox and a ps3 how are you saving any money?

where do you live that you only have 1 store to buy games from and no access to amazon.com, ebay.com, half.com, eb.com, gamestop.com, etc ?

correct, and it has nothing to do with games whatsoever despite what sony fanboys would have you believe. i can also add a USB rocket launcher to my pc at an added cost if i want, so should we then count that in the cost of pc gaming too? you can't just choose random shit and claim that they have something to do with games when they dont.

plenty of people have tv's that size or smaller in bed rooms and what not.. i used a pc as my primary tv and dvd player all through college because i was living at home and didnt see a point to wasting space in my bedroom with both when the pc could do everything anyway.

if someone buys a samsung tv AND a sony tv, they aren't "saving money", but it would still be correct to say the samsung tv is cheaper.

this is why you're a console gamer.. you don't understand simple logic and math.

I know what punkbuster is. I hear they update it regularly. I also know the hacks are updated regularly. But, I'm sure you just have to look for the cheat free games. I just get on line. I feel that's worth 3.80/month.

There are several game stores around, but there really all the same co. I don't have the internet so I can't sell stuff on line.

But, just a moment ago you were saying my xbox is more expesive because it can't do all the stuff a pc can do, so I need a pc too. Even though that's not realated to gaming. But, now it's different when it pertains to a PC not doing something a console can do. Suddenly it's not related to gaming. I think that proves my point. Consoles are cheaper.

I can see having a little TV in the bedroom. But, I guess I was looking at it as my TV and DVD player are in my living room.

To me that's a little different. Someone has two TV's because they want a TV in more than one room. If PC's are so much better, why have a pc, a 360, and a PS3. Why not have 3 PC's? One for each room.

i've never seen someone cheating in cod4 or a valve game. punkbuster even kicked me a few times and i wasnt even cheating.. it's overly protective.

you gotta teach me how you play xbox live and post on srtforums without internet. that's amazing.

nope, the point is that EVERYONE,.. ok... 98% of people, DO need a pc in their lives anyway. noone needs blu ray.

ok here's a great example.. a friend of mine just got married. just bought a house. doesn't have a ton of money so he can't afford a game console. he needs a computer though so he bought a laptop for 500 bucks(his old computer had just bit the dust), and he can play PS2-level games on it with no problem..

he HAD to spend the money on the laptop, and 500 is basically the cheapest you can go on a laptop anyway.. so he can play games on that, or spend another 150 for a ps2 + 30 for memory card. which method is cheaper?

nope,.. your logic is completely wrong.

..because if you're truly a hardcore gamer, chances are that no single platform will satisfy everything you want to play..

so for me, i play almost everything on my pc..
multiplayer games on wii..
and a few select games on 360, that aren't on pc..(such as GTA4, Blue Dragon, and Dead Rising.. which i kept for about 2 weeks before i got sick of it)

bottom line is if you have the budget for 1 game platform.. the pc is easily the most versatile and cheapest you can get.

I even post on here w/o the internet figure that one out.

The situation your friend is in makes sense. I can see that if your going out to buy a PC, because you need it then it'll be cheaper to play on the pc your getting then get some thing else.

My point is just that, if your going out to buy something to game on a console will be cheaper. 500 bucks for a laptop to play PS2 games is more that 350 to play 360 games. But, if you need a pc that makes sense.

Most people don't NEED a pc, (or a console for that matter). I don't need a pc it's just nice to have one. I need one at work, but not at home.

But instead of doing that a few people (smoger) keeps coming into my posts and bitching and going off topic over and over again instead of just helping me by giving me the answers to a few quick questions and then moving on.

notice though that he is a "hardcore gammer" which means he either has a very very well paying job and can afford to buy a bunch of games and systems and never play them or spends pretty much all his time playing games and posting on the internet instead of having real interaction with other humans in real life or has he would say IRL

I barely have the time to play a couple games on 1 game system let alone ever other new game that comes out on multiple systems and the PC

and when it comes down to money if you spent less on your real guns and real ammo you could afford to sit around all alone in your home shooting pre-tend guns with other faceless voices over the internet so get "pwond"

I can't see where my math is flawed at. I have a pc that does everything I need it too, but clearly can't play games. I was in the market something to play games on. I could have spent 700 dollars on a pc that does what this one does, but can play games and do 1,000 other things I don't need. Or I could have spent 350 bucks on a xbox. But apparently 700 is less when your a hard core gamer.

I figured it out, you write the pc off on your taxes. Saying you need it for work. That's where the savings comes in.

now if he was a hard core TV and Movie guy then he would have the TV and stuff that I do.

All I know is so far none of the PC guys have yet to show how great a PC is by only having a PC for gaming and doing that in the same way we can which is all of us get together eat, drink, and have fun playing a game together in person.

It seems that either that can not be done or that PC guys are so anti-social and having to live with there parents or in a shitty little 1 room place that they can not have friends over.
