Caric, all these flame bait questions are pointless.. software is SOOOOO much cheaper on pc its rediculous to even try comparing.
example.. right off the bat, EVERY pc game is at least $10 cheaper normal price compared to 360/PS3.
PLUS..
most stores take an extra $10 off the first week games come out. (i got bioshock on day 1 for $37, cod4 for $40, c&c3 for $37(with a free copy of c&c1 and a bunch of maps and stuff on a bonus disc), kane's wrath for $25(with beta access to red alert 3), geometry wars for $3, puzzle quest for $10, orange box for $37, half life 2 and EVERY OTHER VALVE GAME EVER MADE up till that point for $80 - and got it 3 years before xbox360
i got all these games the day (or within the first week) that they were released.
also for free(and legally) i've gotten: prince of persia two thrones, psy ops, psychonauts(GREAT game), and the 30 games that gametap rotates monthly for free is always nice!

Lord man I was asking a question is all. Calm down. I had a lot of people a while back yoruself included telling me that upgrades and all were free on the PC so I figured hell I will download Shivering Isles since I did not want to pay the money for it on the 360 and I saw that it cost the same for the PC expansion as it did on the 360 and thought that maybe I just was not looking in the right place.
You take all these threads and questions way to personally. I am just trying to learn as much as I can I mean I have allready started looking into upgrading the PC so that I can enjoy non-online games on the PC since it will cost less then buying them on the 360 but I figured that I should know how to do it first.
As for being cheaper maybe where you live there are places to get used PC games but around here not many. I can ususally wait a week and then pay the same for a 360 game as it cost on the PC because I can get it used but I can not find used PC games to save even more money that way, so if I have to choose between sitting in my livign room on the 360 and enjoying the game I will choose that if it is going to cost the same as playing on the PC unless I can set up my PC out there to enjoy it.
You and others assume that just because we use a PC means we have any idea how the hardware or software works. Yes I could spend a good bit of time learning and I might if it turns out that I really like the way the PC works out in the living room then I will learn more so that I can go deeper into it all but for now I just want something that you and others say will beat my 360 and cost less and save me money if that is the case then I am all for it.
Also I myself am not going to run out and buy games as soon as they come out I hardly ever do I like to wait and try them after others buy them and also I do not have the money set aside for that stuff I use it for other things.
With all the games you play and systems you have that is great for you but honestly I would not have the time to play all them I do so many other thigns as well. Yes I will veg now and then on the 360 and did on the PC with MMO games but more often then not I am doing other things. If I have a choice between relaxing on the beach all day and sitting in front of a video game I will take the beach.
Play a game where I ride a motorcycle or ride my real one I will ride the real one.
O and the point at hand for this one was playing Oblivion on the PC did not save any money on the extra content over the 360 it seems so who knows how many other games that I and other have on the console that we would still have to pay money for extras on the PC like we do on the 360?
but content like level packs are free 99.9% of the time on pc, and pc games also allow for user created content and modifications.
people have even built entirely new games based off other games and released them for free.. this is how games like counterstrike and team fortress got started.

are you really bad at math?
that 27.99 is for the whole game with shivering isles
when I went to bethesda it gave me a link to a place for 20$ which I thought was just for the update of shivering isle. I have the game on the PC allready :-D
but also got in on the 360 as well and it was like 15$ for the update on the 360 maybe even 10 at one point I just did not want to pay :-P
* See a world created in Sheograth's own image, one divided between Mania and Dementia unlike anything you've experienced
* Battle the denizens of Shivering Isles, a land filled with hideous insects, Flesh Atronachs, skeletal Shambles, amphibeous Grummites, and many more
* Find and wield new weapons and armor or have new ones forged for you
* Explore a bizarre landscape filled with twisting, vast dungeons buried within the roots of the trees themselves
* This expansion pack requires Elder Scrolls IV: Obilivion software to play

That's for sure, you'll wait until everyone you know has sold the game and got the next new thing and be like "man this game is good, I wish I listened to you sooner"

hey if I was actually playing games more I would have bought battle field. just between helping my pops and diong stuff around here in the day and then helping jake and things at night I think I only play like 8 hours a week at the most anymore.
