I just started playing this game last Thursday. I wish I had started sooner, it's great! I knew all of the reviews of it were glowing, but I never got around to picking it up.
since console gaming is "cheaper" than pc gaming.. i wonder if any 360 guys can tell me how much this costs on that platform...
Hey smart butt I thought you said that expansions cost money on the PC as well so how come this is free but the Oblivion one cost money?
And as for your cheap shot on consoles well I am willing to pay the price now and then since unlike you I can actually play co-op on same TV and do not need to have multiple PC's and monitors set up to play with friends at my place.
I checked it out for you it cost $5 when it was released a while back on the 360. So yeah for console people they paid enough money of the last several months so that the PC people could get their content for free see we serve a great purpose LOL
pc gamers wouldn't pay money for 1 mission or a handful of maps(or online play) - console gamers do.
an expansion is something like the oblivion one where you have hours and hours of gameplay.. or kane's wrath which i probably have 8 hours into so far with like 4 or 5 missions left to do and havent even touched the global domination mode.(which i paid $20 for on the day it came out, with a pass to Red Alert 3 beta included).. 360 version was $40 and didnt come out for like 2 months - and of course no RA3 beta
the Mass Effect DLC just came out on pc.. remember that the game itself just came out about 2 months ago - and the game itself on PC is only $39.99 new last i saw(last week at Gamestop)
although i have to say: i awfully tempted to download the Shuffle Dungeon for Blue Dragon(i think its 5 bucks..) - i loved that game and the Shuffle Dungeon seems to add quite a few hours of high level gameplay(aside from the dungeon itself, which is randomly generated.. it has new enemies and new items as well)

True it is more of a mini-expansion if anything. Why did the PC game not come with it built in since it took so long to come out? And why did the PC version have to wait so long to come out?
i think the PC version was delayed due to timed exclusivity. not sure why they didn't include it - maybe that wasn't quite ready when the game itself was. things like this aren't a big deal with pc games since they don't have to worry about how they're gonna host and distribute patches
There's actually a new one along the same lines of Renegade planned, an FPS.
yeah,.. "Tiberium"
not super excited for that. i hope its good - but i wont get my hopes up.
im much more interested in the rest of the Scrin story arc from the first CNC3.. they ended that game with a transmission from the Scrin overlord saying "Earth will fall."
..that and the fact that the scrin campaign was only 4 missions pretty much guarantees there will be a scrin focused expansion..
