Universal PS3 Trophy support thrown into doubt

Insomniac, Infinity Ward and 2K Games all say they won’t patch existing titles
Despite claims that the PS3’s entire software catalogue will eventually boast support for PS3’s new Trophy system, three developers have now come out and stated that they will not be patching their existing titles.
Infinity Ward has said on its forum that it has no plans to patch Call of Duty 4, adding that it would had loved to had the functionality been around for launch.
Also jumping on the doubt bandwagon is 2K Games, which has stated that Trophy support will not be added to Civilzation Revolutions. In addition, IGN reports that Insomniac currently has no plans to patch either Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction or Resistance: Fall of Man, though the upcoming Resistance 2 is scheduled to offer Trophy support.

I really don't think anyone expected games that are already out to have trophy support (at least they shouldn't have expected it). Why should companies that already have a lot of new games/projects in the works have to worry about developing a patch and goals for trophies in a already released game? I don't care either way because I think the whole trophy/achievement thing is lame anyway. It is cool to finally be able to listen to my own MP3s while playing games and having full in-game XMB though.
I dont play games for trophies, I play them for fun Trphy is noce, and I wouldnt turn it off, but if its not there, I dont care, I'm not trying to impress people with things Ive done in a game.
CAnt speak for the others, but Insomniac has said they are not pulling devs from finishing R2 to recode stuff into one for trophies. I dont blame them, I certainly wouldnt want R2 to get pushed back for that.

I used to own one of the first SRT-4s sold, bought it new in Feb 2003, sold it Nov 2006 with 75K and Stage 3. Now I drive a 2006 SRT-8 Charger.

Sony even said that all games will not have trophy support from day one and it will take time. I could care less if Resistance doesn't have trophies since they are working on resistance 2 and I don't want that delayed for some trophies. Trophies are cool but once again your reaching smoger.
You love the spin. They didn't say no to trophy support just that are not going to go back and put them in the older games and it was 2 or 3 developers.

PS3 is full of fail. Sony has been trailing behind Microsoft in this console war for 2.5 years now. Now they are designing their community to be exable like Xbox Live

Why would i complain cuz another company isnt doign something EXACTLY like another? Its just stupid that a system has been claiming to be the best and super hyped up and hasnt lived up to its hype YET.

Also Microsoft is creating a controller that is just like the Wii's and working on adding Mii's to there system. This whole generation is about copying, if it works then the other people copy it. Big deal it works for us consumers.

Trphy is noce, and I wouldnt turn it off, but if its not there, I dont care, I'm not trying to impress people with things Ive done in a game.
