not sure whether to get it or not. would be great for late nights where i'm not doing shit. any good titles for this system and a place to download movies and music for it?

for games get a DS.

I have a PSP and I don't play it that much. There aren't any games that are must haves.

Get a DS, Brain Age and New Super Mario = tons of fun.

i used my PSP alot BEFORE i got a DS. Only game thats worth something and has excellent replay value on the PSP is GTA Liberty Cities

well you've got all the GTA games. If you're a FF fan there's Tactics and Crisis core. There's MGS portable ops, Castlevania the Dracula X Chronicles, which includes one of the best games of all time, Castlevania Symphony of the night. Silent Hill, Jeanne D'Arc for the Tactics RPG fan. Gran Turismo is also coming to the handheld. So many more games I can't list off the top of my head, plus you can download Skype and use it as a phone. You can watch movies and music on it and just etc etc etc. I'd do some real searching online other than at SRTforums. There are a lot of anti Sony members here, you wont get an unbiased answer.

PSP is a great system. With the right emulators you can play everything. I have every snes, sega, most of the games made for the psp, playstation, playstation 2, some xbox games, tons of movies. Buy a couple of cheap 4 gig sticks for it and and small hard drive. Everybody I come across with psp games I put on the harddrive and just switch them around. It will play any mp4 movie. I loved it in Iraq. Nothing can beat the flexibility of it.

Music, games, pics movies, what else do you want out of a $150 (used) handheld?

I'm a PSP owner and I gave my review. Movies & music the IPod is better. If you're into the PS2 type of games obviously go for the PSP. If one wants the most fun handheld, DS wins hands down.

Where sony fucked up is when they didn't put dual analog sticks on the psp and used a stupid format called the UMD.

i had a PSP. i would recommend a DS. the PSP was cool and all for plane rides, but i just never used it other than that. can't say i would use a DS more, but at least the DS is cheaper and it has more games.

PSP was a great at work when me and my buddy would link up and play Madden though. and the built in wireless is cool too.

i dunno man, borrow one or something, see if you will use it enough to justify the price. hell, if i could own a handheld system now, i would go for the original Game Boy!

holy chit! i had a Game Gear, twas crap. but i also had a Sega Nomad, that thing was kick ass! i still have it somewhere, gotta find it.

if you think theres ANY way to spin a psp as a better game system than a ds you're either an..

DS all the way. dev's that work on psp dont understand the qualities that make a good portable game. and thats a fact. (note.. im not saying theres no good psp games, but theres 1/2 as many good games(or less) than the ds has, and ds games are cheaper..)

Please tell me where, in my above post, I EVER said that it was a better system or to choose one over a DS? I have both, and I have twice as many DS games as I do PSP games.

The O.P. asked whether or not he should get one, NOT whether he should get one instead of a DS.
