Did the Half-LifeČ, then Episode 1, and just finished Episode 2 today. Honestly if you have not played this game yet, you need to. Its chock full of happy-times. The game in total was very long, so you get your moneys worth out of the game. The graphics were great, voice acting was great, storyline was amazing. The game really didn't get repetetive to me at all. It was just alot of fun all together. And the best part about the game was that it made me want to keep playing and figure out more.
Wish there was a little more variety in the good-guy skins though. I think there were about 5 different people, x1000.
And Portals was very fun/funny.
Oh and yes i know i'm a little behind in picking this game up, but just suggesting it to those who haven't played it or considered it yet.

I guess I'm in the minority, I was never all that impressed with HL2. Don't get me wrong it was a good game, but I guess it just felt like a vanilla rail shooter compared to, say, Far Cry. Granted all shooters are technically "rail shooters", I just don't like to feel confined to a certain path.

Half Life 1 was the best FPS game ever. Counter Strike was the best mod ever.
Half Life 1 was certainly the most revolutionary(and the best for a long time..), but in terms of overall "best".. Half Life 2 edged it out by giving a tad more life to the characters with the Source engine's facial animations and even better pacing and writing.
But then again,.. Rasp decided before that characterization in games doesn't matter and that's not what people play them for...
Counter-strike is the worst excuse for a multiplayer game ever.
I agree with Source, but pre-Source was fantastic, imo. Definitely not "the best" multiplayer game, but definitely fun, especially after getting home from drinking and wanting to kill time before passing out.
You're insane if you think that. I think the majority of us that had an N64 probably spent more time playing Goldeneye multiplayer than every other game on that system combined.
