Default International PSN

I'm wondering if somebody can explain to me how the PSN works. I live in the US and my buddy is over in London, but we can't play together. We have tried to play Motorstorm, COD4, Army of two etc. and we can not connect. Motorstorm and COD4 did not even find or register him on my friends list for when you want to send an invite to him in multiplayer mode... But Army of two had him in the join friends list... but an error came up saying that he is on an international server so we can't join... WTF?

Is there something special i need to do, cuz people on the PSN says they can play COD4, Warhawk etc. with friends abroad... any ideas?

We tried to create new profiles with the same country... for instance i would create a profile for EU but that still wouldn't work. Its pissing me off cuz i dont' think the 360 guys has this issue.

I remember that army of two had a reigion lock so that North america and the EU could not play together.

As for the COD4 it should not and all i can think of is maybe your routers dont like to play with each other. Try reseting them it may help.

weird... my router has been re-set many times. It actually allows a lot of traffic through because i got shitloads on it... 2 labtops, printer, vonage phone, home PC, WII, PS3 and i VPN to client sites on my work labtop cuz i work from home ... hehe.

Anyway, maybe it's on his side. Thanks for the suggestion.
